This is what our team and I needed. We didn't win anything at worlds, but we certainly tried our best. Oh, and we're going straight into V5RC High School, so wish us luck, haha!

We loved what you said. We have been thinking about how you measure success for a while now. What you said was exactly what we needed to hear and the foundation on which we build our program. Our motto is building more than just robots.

At my school I didn't have anybody to teach me about engineering notebooks. This was able to teach me so much at the start of the year and our team was even able to win vex iq excellence at worlds. Thank you for sharing your notebook process. - 10698D

Hi! Thank you for creating this series, it’s been a lot of help! I saw in a previous video that you were doing a digital notebook and I’d like to know your opinion on it compared to doing it physically if possible!

I know I'm not her but I use a digital notebook and it's way easier in my opinion. I was even able to win excellence at worlds this year using one

hello! this whole series has been very valuable ^o^ what markers/highlighters did you use? i dont want to test any because im scared theyll bleed through lol
@ddgale9 ай бұрын
I used zebra mildliners for the first and second years, then switched to an amazon dupe of the mildliners (which worked equally well). For the body of text I used Pilot G2 0.5mm in black and for the colored pen headings I used Pilot G2 0.7mm or 1.0mm. Mildliners are awesome if you're doing a smiliar format as I used because they have the thick side and a thin side, but if you're looking for a highlighter that has a thick side and a small side (0.4mm or so) then I recommend the Uni Propus Window highlighters (available on amazon in a pack of five, I believe?) I've recently transitioned to those and they work really well and don't bleed. (Notably however, with the GSM of the paper engineering notebooks these days, only colored marker and sharpies will bleed through iirc) Hope this could answer your question, I'm glad you enjoyed the videos! :)

I currently use Google Documents for easy sharing. I tried using Notion, but it's not free (it has a block cap) and it's a headache to transfer over to Google Slides. Hope this helps! :)

Why do you have more header files than cpp files?
@ddgale Жыл бұрын
we put all the various functions into header files, then assembled them for the auton programs in the cpp files. the reason we had more header files than cpp files is because we have a ton of different categories of individual functions! this arrangement style made our auton finessing easier, as well as debugging. our code was pretty organized... 😂
@ecstaticpilot5656 Жыл бұрын
Do you have code in the header files or just prototypes? If it's just prototypes then I would recommend splitting the autons.cpp into multiple c++ from files.
