Was all the trim, doors & stairway originally white? Seems like a lot of white wash for the time period. The kitchen is very well done.

The all white and modern style furniture could not be more unfortunate! Why! I just don’t think people agree with what was done with this house. The most beautiful house that deserves respect- it needs to have period correct finishes

This was on the market a short time ago. The windows are tall because windows were taxed, and these open like doors for the air. The pantry shelves should pull out. Windows in closets lead to faded clothes. In a house at this price, I can see some missed opportunities, but, then, this was a young family. They will do their next house differently. We all did that at least once.

This house is gorgeous, but as a former house painter in my younger days the amount of painted wood on the exterior is a nightmare to keep up with.

My dream home. What a fabulous redo. Always loved Victorians from a small child. Maybe because they look like dollhouses or could be a past life thing. :) Whomever bought this house has won the game of life. :)

I am just seeing this 4 yrs later. IMPECIBLE restoration. The exterior reno and interior design brings this period home into the 21st century. Rather than Memaw's restored junk Victorian, stained oak millwork, behemoth.

What was the final sale price for this house and how long was it on the market?

This house has a really nice floor plan, but the color gray DOES NOT belong in a Victorian house!!! It belongs in institutional buildings like prisons. I would have to rip out every single gray tile, countertop, and any other surface with gray in it. These people don't deserve this house. They ruined it.

Stunning house but it has not much land....

The pool is quite literally situated up against the neighboring home-no "intimate" parties there! The Thermador oven handles don't line up. QUARTZITE counters discolor, fadeout, STAIN and chemical cleaners can not be used. Cutting on quartzite is highly ill-advised. What good is kitchen cabinetry when you need a ten foot ladder to access them? The round stained glass window is cracked. The half-bath sink pedestal and tile edges are molded/mildewed. Too much DINGY marble looks cheap, and all the closets are very 'Walmart' DIY and need the same 10 ft ladders as the kitchen! Master BR bath is AWFUL, and wet marble equals broken neck/back/body.

I hate they painted all of that wood white….WHY…..the bar room is awesome!

Hard pass. Horrible cramped location, hate the pool design, and virtually zero space to park. Impeccable interior? No. Impeccable would have been restoring all that originally beautiful wood trim, details, etc instead of disrespecting the integrity of it. Just for that alone would have been no sale without coming down at least $150K to have it restored.

Stunningly beautiful home. I don't love some of the modern furniture, art and accessories, but I love that the bones are original.

I wish you would have commented on the a/c system. That's always a problem in these old homes. When a/c vents are installed through the floors they are inefficient and very expensive to operate. And in New Orleans you must have a/c.

This is such a stunning home. So sad that they don’t build ornate homes anymore. No abundance of lush trees lining the overly wide streets. Huge boring sterile laws. Just concrete and ticky tacky homes. Maybe in my next life I can live a home that echoes this home’s spirit.

lovely home, don't like that the house next door can look right into the pool .but nice.

Absolutely ALL of the necessary amenities - the all-important library bar AND a fireplace in every room for all those Louisiana snow storms.

Granted the house is beautiful on the outside it is beautiful it’s a beautiful beautiful piece of work but I know Goss the pool has leaves in it that when you’re showing a house and your first emphasis is the pool it should be having the pool should be cleaned. If you can’t pull it all off I mean really leaves in the pool OK so in addition to the house the house worms from what I saw an arrow and tiny and I don’t know if it didn’t do it for Me. When I saw the pool all those leaves in it, it just took away the overall the side of a whole big picture but that’s just me

Why is the entire house painted white and beige? Restoration means to return something to its former glory, not turn it into sterilized Hilton
