So it costs $600 for every person it serves. (1 million people) That's cheap. Each person would have paid more than $600 tax in just one year alone.

LOLOLOL at a "car free lifestyle" in Los Angeles. More clueless planners who hate cars but can't propose or build any sort of affordable or useable alternative. The related project is going to be an absolute disaster because of the lack of parking.

@@williamcaseywells604LA has invested way more in vehicle infrastructure for decades and traffic has only gotten worse. It has long been overdue to spend money on building mass public transit infrastructure. Freeways are an old solution to an old problem. It's not the future. Many freeways also devastated minority neighborhoods. We need to make streets more walkable which would complement an expanding LA Metro system.

LA needs to reduce the number of car lanes and give that space back to people and transit, like it traditionally used to be. The experiment of turning every street into a highway didn't work. It just made traffic worse and killed thousands of people. Enough is enough.
@mrxman5816 ай бұрын
It's being done. In fact, the measure HLA was recently approved by voters. It's an initiative that requires the city to redesign streets to be safer for pedestrian and bicyclists while holding city officials accountable.

This video seems a bit dated. Anyway, what is an LAX "LANDSLIDE" project (5:06) ??? The Los Angeles area is known for landslides because of all its hills and seasonal rains, but they're not building landslides. :/

It's Landside, not landslide. It's a multi-billion Landside Access Modernization Program (LAMP) for LAX.

Are you sure there are 36 restaurants? I spent some time walking around, and if there are 36 restaurants, they are tucked away somewhere. What I saw was long, wide hallways with boarded walls to hold a spot until someone moves in. MOST of the mall was not opened. I'm assuming the restaurants are still coming, as well?
