I´m an enthusiastic wingfoiler and through Luna Rossa and Robins Round 24 finally ended up sneaking into SailGP - thanks a lot for your tour, now I´ve got a clear view where the technology differences are between AC 75 and your class !

As a Canadian Sea Cadet we sail 1 to 2 times a year it is the best experience you can get I recommend it (we use Echoes and 420s)

It’s simple no corporate money in Halifax, to pick up the the event let alone sponsor the Cdn team….same reason they couldn’t make a pro hockey team work….nice city great to visit but no money.
@deanmayke6959Ай бұрын
Not sure how your going to survive most Cdn’s don’t have sailing on there radar and neither does corporate.

Weird, but I am 25% of the way into the film and have not yet heard mention of Fred (or Chantal) Pye, who created and funded this team. Huh?? I love the team, love the sailors and will never forget sharing pizza and beer with them after the first race in Bermuda. But, really…this omission is unconscionable…as well as insulting and unethical. Shame on you.
@nicholascooke3132 ай бұрын
Pretty sure they had their reasons mate. Not an unconscious omission.
@davidchristianson14212 ай бұрын
I agree with you, but that makes it less excusable. Whoever “they“ were in this case, have rewritten history. Whatever their reasons, that’s not nice.

Unforgettable weekend. All three days down on the waterfront cheering on the maple leaf were just electric, hands down one of the best events this city's ever seen. The race win on day two definitely the highlight, had the whole boardwalk absolutely pumped. Hope to see racing back in the harbour for 2026.

I am gutted that SAILGP is running after the short term $$$ instead of growing the fan-base to support the long term business case. I am soooo grateful that I had the privilege and good fortune to have a front-row finish line pier spectator spot for both days (the cheap seats even!). Great crowd and the absolute best venue where we the fans were soo close we could read the data screens on the boats. Incredible. Great memories! Thanks to all on the Canadian SailGP team (from Ottawa)!!!!!

I'm one of many disappointed fans who had booked time off, ground transport, and hotels well in advance but could not get tickets when the window opened. Organizers never responded when asked if additional tickets might be released in the future (as did happen), so trip was cancelled. Now no event in Canada next season! Not sure why US gets three events and UAE gets two. Money over fans I guess. So disappointed.
