Good Race coverage! Well done! Even with a higher heart rate you do so well to keep communicating with your team, Josh! I'm usually breathing out of my backside at 165bpm! :D The move at 15:00 was very shrewed! I was cheering that on! I thought you were going to press on at 21:00, too. A bit of the old Shake & Bake! Solid finish! Very entertaining!

Great job! Putting the Alpe at the end is cruel and unusual punishment as far as route design goes, but you did a solid job pacing the rest of the ride well enough to still get it done under an hour. These long routes are all about focusing on survival and completion (and the occasional questioning life choices 😅).

Agreed was great to see a lot of familiar names! I was amazed to even be with front group after the climb but once the front people pushed 5+ for a good few mins I couldn’t hang. Got a 3w FTP bump though.

Great effort. Well done to Hannah for being so close at the top of the climb and holding in there. Incredible effort. The raw power of ATP was just a bit too high, I think. Love the course selection where you come back down the climb, too. Really intresting! Gives the heavier riders something to really push for on that return leg. Great stuff!
@JoshuaWallner3 ай бұрын
Yes was quite the interesting course! In strategizing for this one there really was no sound strategy other than hold on and try to make something happen on climbs. That 1m effort early ended up being 2nd all time for me and was too cooked to do anything on the climb 😑 Hannah pulled back 30s which was super impressive and gave us a shot!
@MisterZwifter3 ай бұрын
Loving the comparative stats at the start to breakdown the differences between the two teams. That's a great insight and helps us to look out for which riders are the big hitters and which rider types are on course.

Great Racing. You can find my POV on twitch. Fun to watch the insight from the opposite side. You have good instincts and I enjoy watching your vods for Ladder team recon. Our highest concern was fighting Diop on the climb. Our plan was relentless/repeated attacks on the flats to get good gap from her for me with a partner before the climb. Your best defense other than covering our moves (which you fought hard) was to keep it tight enough that I got scared of the catch on the climb and dropped my teammate on the climb. We were climbing to Brents limit on the climb. I would have hurt my teammate pretty bad on the climb if the gap got down to 30 seconds.
@JoshuaWallner3 ай бұрын
Awesome insight! Also really cool of your crew to hold up for Andrew who was having connection issues. We were very aware this was a stretch match for us, and everything would need to go prefect to keep it close 😂 Once the two front guys broke me down early, that pretty much sealed the chances of winning. We were flip flopping between this and oh hill no and in hindsight the ladder mightve been a better option with less draft, not that it would've made a difference in the end result 😂 Good racing you! I'll check twitch.

Well done. I saw your stream the other day from our OTR race and the end where you said you needed some lessons for the lower wkg average I laughed. Just eat more like me and stay heavy. Racing at 79 Kg is challenge and is much easier to finish at a 3.0 average than Roy who is much lighter and did 5 watts less and did .5 more. 😂
