Just a quick bit of info. You got into the Polaris lounge simply because you had a sane day Polaris boarding pass. There is no other way to get Polaris Lounge access. No status, including 1K, or amount of money will get you in a Polaris Lounge.

Thanks for your comment. I’m her husband and I knew she misunderstood why she got to the lounge. Also, Polaris lounge at Denver has not yet opened 😅 The lounge we went was regular Club lounge 😅

Looks like a fun time! You should also consider adding in something like the Temari Museum run by the Japanese Temari Association. Google TemariBunko to see some of the exhibits they have had there. They have teachers there too from time to time though only a few speak English so obviously you'd have to schedule it out.

I have watched about 100 Japanese travel phrase videos. This is BY FAR the best I have watched. Taking it slow and really annunciating each word. Fantastic

I flew from Newark to Milan in Polaris. It was a circus of disappointment. I'm hoping they have changed it up in the last 9 months. I'm glad your trip worked out well for you!

*United Polaris* was a game changer for me. It saved me energy to explore Japan right after I arrived to Tokyo. I would highly recommend if you are thinking of upgrading to or purchasing Business Class to Japan.

I also meant to add: I think United really ups its game on its flights to Japan because both JAL and ANA are such good airlines.
