Note the snake grips on one of the pistols. The gunsmith who did those also did them for Clint Eastwood’s character in Rawhide, and Eastwood brought those grips to Europe for use while filming Sergio Leone’s Dollars trilogy.

Which pedal do you think was most like the original Marshall Blues breaker?
@imgonnagetbanned4 ай бұрын
To be honest, sound-wise there is not much in it. The Tone City Blues Man is a serious stand-out though in terms of price/sound ratio, it sounds GREAT, feels like the real thing, and is a fraction of the price. But, I would say (as the video kind of showcases), any of the pedals in this video will do "the thing". If you're short on space, the Tone City is great - if you aren't, the reissue Marshalls go for not much money used these days! Worth noting though, that most pedals in this video can do much, much more than I showed, so that is worth taking into account too. Thanks for watching!

@@imgonnagetbannedwhat was your opinion on the blammo Blues blaster all the BCA weatherman?
@danialneale-fm9qz4 ай бұрын
There is also the king tone heavy hand and the Apollo approved skyscraper I was wondering if you had tried those? Thanks
@imgonnagetbanned3 ай бұрын
@@danialneale-fm9qzthose are up there with the best IMO. The Blammo is probably the most fun straight up BB with no frills - the BCA Weather Man is VERY versatile and can do way, way more than just the BluesBreaker thing. I would say to check them both out - the Blammo if you want a BB and nothing more, and the Weather Man if you want to be able to to much more also (the built in boost side is KILLER, one of the best clean boosts I’ve tried).
@imgonnagetbanned3 ай бұрын
@@danialneale-fm9qzI have not tried these unfortunately! But King Tone at least makes some great pedals, that’s for sure (I have not heard of the Apollo). Thanks for watching!

I have currently and have had several boutique amps (Carrs, Morgans, Two Rocks etc.), and that Blackstar hangs with the best of them!! The only drawbacks are the gain channel, digital reverb, and SMD construction (aka next to impossible to repair!!), but to be expected at that price point. I'd pay to have that circuit cloned and built hand-wired!!!

Too much money, better sounding BB style pedals available now.Plus they thought making you wait 1 1/2 after releasing the other so-so sounding pedals.Quite forgettable. And Marshals lost Slash to Magnatone?Here comes over priced crap from Magnatone.

This showed up randomly in my timeline. It's pretty solid apart from the sliding bit. And the snare drum is too loud in this recording. Vocals and bass are pretty cool

What do you think about the lil mo?
@imgonnagetbanned Жыл бұрын
A good friend of mine has the Lil Mo as his favourite Klone (and he's played all the ones in this video). I find the Lil Mo to be quite a bit darker than any of the other Klones I've tried, but it sounds great!

Thank you so much for this!! I’m in the JMGL 🤟 ………sigh. All kinda sound the same lol what’s your opinion? I have the BB RI and TS10. For me it’s my fav and I like the BB over my klon klones 😂 my ears perked when I heard your BB!
@imgonnagetbanned Жыл бұрын
For sure!! Glad you found the video! My opinion is they all do kinda sound the same, but they do feel quite a bit different (some have more "squish", some are more bold). But I 100% agree with you, the BB reissue is my favourite pedal of all time. It just does THE THING and sounds magnificent!!! You have everything you need with the BB and the TS10 in my humble opinion.

I know it's been awhile, but when you use the QTron on the HX Stomp, you running the overdrives through the loop and putting the QTron before the loop block or the overdrives straight in? I'm running a similar rig, drives straight in. Killer tone! That EXO punches far above its weight. I wish Two Rock would release another amp like that!
@imgonnagetbanned Жыл бұрын
Cheers! I'm just running my drives straight in, the HX Stomp model doesn't really suffer from the quirks of a real QTron, so going straight into the front works just fine!
Ordered one from Andertons the SECOND they released their video, should be here this week! What you said about the TS-10 and MSL in the description is true. I have owned both, they sound great, but they are sadly too fragile. You can get the same tone with a lot of other TS derivatives with some massaging of the tone and volume knob.

John Mayer did not use the Bluesbraker pedal on "Who did you think I was". He used the Keeley modded Blues Driver bd2 - you can see that in his pedalboard in the official video of the song (at the very beginning, if you pause the video you will see the BD2); it is very much the set -up of the John Mayer Trio with the BD2 and TS (used for the lead). The Bluesbreaker was used for Gravity, Belief, but WDYTIW is the BD2.
