This is by far one of my top favorites from this season! Awesome job! I just hope I can be as great as a baritone player as you are. I definitely got inspired from your playing.

Yeah range on trumpet is really hard sometimes. I'm stuck at the 4 ledger line g right now most days, it's gotten better over time though. It's one of those things you can't rush.

Go for it! I used to be that guy that thought I wouldn't be good enough to make it but I worked really hard and got a spot. I recommend working out a lot before too. :)

yeah i used to play trumpet but all my directors (and kind of myself) agree that baritone is better for my range. i cant exactly hit very many high notes on a trumpet..lol

Oh and I can't speak from experience on this, but I've heard holding up a baritone all day sucks really bad for upper arms and shoulders. Just a fair warning. (a play trumpet, a lot lighter)

Definetly audition, it's worth if from what I've heard. Worst case scenario you get a good learning experience out of it. I'm auditioning for Madison and Bluecoats I think (I'll wait to decide where to audition once camp locations are posted) this fall. Work on running and getting/staying in shape as well as marching. The main thing they look for is tone, this is your highest priority. What instrument do you play out of curiosity?

is it hard to get into a corp? i really want to audition when i'm a senior but i'm scared i wont be good enough..

Awesome! I know they never would, but that is one show I would love to see them do again and re-record with better technology. It is by far one of my favorites.

@TerranRepublic They did march The Planets in 1995 but this was taken this year. They played it for an encore. I REALLY enjoyed watching it.
