my dad and i played a lot of video games together when i was growing up. him and i have been through hell and back together multiple times so through it all we've become incredibly close. i don't know how to drive, and i live about a 13 hour drive from him now. this past summer, i saw him for the first time in 3 years and we played video games together like always. he was the spark that made me love them for my whole life. i miss him (he's okay we talked yesterday i just love him a lot)

Also, der Frontera wurde primär zum schweren Anhänger ziehen gekauft. Ein 1.2L soll also zwei Pferde ziehen können? Nie im Leben. Unter 2L besser V6 ist das einfach zu schwach als Nutzfahrzeug.

Ocarina of Time. Wow. This brings back memories. I used to wander around getting the hearts and doing the puzzles and hand the controller to my son for the fights. Maybe someone might say that was teaching him to be violent and lazy, but that someone knows nothing about anything.

It's the same way my step dad used to start connecting with me when i was younger, i remember i was so excited going to the local blockbuster kind of shop to rent our games and book of solutions. I still remember vividly the moment i was telling him what was written in the book while he played, and i use the same thing to introduce video games to my step sibling in my other family with my dad.

I'm not on twitch, and I'm not likely to join. I can't even keep up with my KZbin subs, leaving them to once or twice a week when I have time; how do I devote/set aside time for you or any other twitch-ers? I have other things to do! I love seeing/hearing you for 5-10 minutes, non-synchronously, but there's no way I can watch ANYONE for 3 hours. Yes, a 10 minute KZbin is likely a lot more work for creators, but how likely is it that a 10 minute twitch session will have any sense of continuity or 'closure'? (And yes, I'm in the USA, so your 7-10 time period is more like midnight to 3; not a time when I'm likely to be on line.) If twitch works better for you, go for it! But I'll wait patiently for the next KZbin vid. Good luck.

That’s fine, appreciate your opinion. There are people who do find the time and can afford to watch for hours though, and it’s going well! See you on here at some point 😅

I remember my dad calling his friends to brag about how far he got in Leisure Suit Larry on MS-DOS! He always supported me and my brother when it came to playing video games (started on 8-bit systems, but mostly remember 16-bit and onwards). He was also adamant in us going outside to play, participate in (group) sports and such, but was very ahead of his time regarding digital entertainment and saw that it helped develop problem solving and other cognitive capabilities. I miss that man dearly and hope I can pass on his teachings to my children. Hope your dad will be okay! Lovely story going full circle

KZbin is basically just a homepage feed and a subscription/notification thing, and some people subscribe every time they are told to (they think they're helping) so their experience is all spam and they will miss videos. To have any community here I think you would have to build one and then encourage people to suggest other channels, maybe even structure it a bit "best channel of the week" or "best new comedy channel". Well idk, in 2009 people would have been all over it, now people seem like zombies with scrolly feeds.

My bro got really ill when he was 11, for 3 years he was sick enough to not be able to go to school but well enough to be bored at home. Playing video games was how he stayed connected to the world, he still sees those friends in person regularly. So fully agree

I just wanted to add that you have to consider the demographic of your channel, even if it’s no longer recommended for example I would keep watching you here but I would never make a twitch effort at all. I do not have time for that. I could put you on TV if you were streaming live on KZbin for example like simplynailogical
@emmablackery11 күн бұрын
That’s fair enough. Not everyone is going to want to make a jump to another platform no matter how much they like that creator.

Ocarina of Time is incredibly special to me too. As a child I watched my older brother play it, and as an adult, I've completed it multiple times. He watched me finish Breath of the Wild recently and was overcome with pride when I beat Ganon. Because as a child, I was too scared to do much beyond the child dungeons and then go meet Princess Zelda in Ocarina. ❤
