I just don’t like how you stamp the pedal to the floor…quick cars should require feeding on the throttle slowly. Same issue in Teslas.

I was going to buy expensive pads for the track but if they last that long im glad i went for standard brembo as ill be able to replace them 4 times before I'm at the same price. I may upgrade after a track day or 2 if they fade too quick but its only a small car and i dont intend to set lap records 😂
@ShedLifeUKАй бұрын
The PBS pads did three days but the third day they were no better (see: probably worse!) than cheap Brembo pads. The new CL pads squeal like fuck which the PBS ones didn’t do but I’ve only done a couple short journeys on those so far. The cheap pads definitely offer value for money. I might suggest we try using the same pads on a day and see who does better.
@thebaguette172Ай бұрын
Destroyed PBS Pads after 2 track days!? That Clio is clearly too fast! 😮
@ShedLifeUKАй бұрын
3! That said they were crap at Blyton for the 3rd and I did wonder why Rob was keeping up on the brakes with standard pads. I like good brakes and the new ones (so far!) definitely pack a punch.

@vicegripgarage probably the best person that knows cars like these most of that floor pan look like surface but its all down to feel. that broken bit could be cleaned up and welded if salvageable. dont go too hot with welding take time and itll be right.

If im correct the water leak is most likely the windshield. Pull the crome trim and reseal. The floor pan...wire brush the rust off and paint with rust inhibitor. They look more than salvageable.
@ShedLifeUK2 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! We’re aiming to get cracking with the rust converter and wire wheel and hopefully the floor isn’t too bad. I’ll take the trim off and look. Any recommended sealers?

@@ShedLifeUK there are a plethora of mustang resto sites as I'm sure you're aware. I use some of them for my projects. It's a religion over here so expect zealots you might need to ignore. That said from what you've shown you have an excellent car that just needs some attention. Many guys over here do exactly what I see in that car, can't afford a full resto mod but fix what they can without utter butchery so they can still enjoy the car and still leave the possibility of a full resto. Nice car.

Based on this video, I was able to replace my sensor. I did not have to remove the seatbelts. The bottom seat attaches to the bottom seat with a long black clip over that rod that goes between the two sides of the seat back near the hump... It is just clipped on. If you unclip it, it makes taking the bottom seat out very easy. Then, you can slide the top seat over to one side with the belts already attached. Tip - Move the passenger seat all the way forward BEFORE you disconnect the battery. The 3 bolts that hold the sensor on are thought to get at with the security torx. allighment needs to be perfect to engages and they take a lot of torque to extracts. Having some room to work is a key to success,

I mean there probably is a setting somewhere in a Renault handbook but hand tight and a 1/4 turn at most is plenty. Otherwise you’ll struggle to get it off.

Make sure your brakes and fluid are all in check, no oil leaks, give it a once over etc. Then google track days and either use track days.co.uk or MSV (they own most tracks) and book a day. I’d suggest a novice day if you are nervous/first time on track as they are very welcoming. Any questions, just ask 👊
