What I assume from this video is that the wolf suppose to be normal husband who went out hunting and meet Red but since we see this through Red vision, he seen nothing more but animal. Later after she kill him and eat his body, his family hold funeral for the death of big wolf and Red is there (Possibly family friends?) but the wife soon figure out who murder her husband and went disguise herself as Red grandma to take revenge on her though this backfired and this lead to her death, mistakenly view as the bad wolf while Red got away and view as the good girl

When the grandma's trying to kill Little Red Riding Hood and she fights back with a fork when when she uses the ax to kill the mother wolf the hand looks like the hand of a person so did she kill the grandmother or something just a theory please comment if I'm correct

Maybe I'm interpreting these movies too strongly, but... it seems to me that this is history repeating itself. The girl receives a cake from her mother, which she has to take to her grandmother. But in the end, it almost kills her. When Little Red Riding Hood grows up and becomes a grandmother, she assigns the same task to her granddaughter. (this symbolizes Little Red Riding Hood's costume found in the closet at the end of the film as well as the phrase "maybe you are killing me. maybe"). The wolf is only a symbol of a monster, a killer. (It is possible that this is a memory of the story of the girl's grandmother - she could kill the wolf family, (that's why both Little Red Riding Hood and her grandmother have white curly hair, so the younger version of the grandmother can be confused/connected with her granddaughter)) another clue is the smile of the mother handing the cake to Little Red Riding Hood - as if her story was planned from the beginning. Another clue is that when the girl enters her grandmother's house, she sees a dead version of herself - perhaps it was supposed to be her grandmother's version, which also did not come true in the past. The final element that confirms my theory is that we finally see a dead human hand the girl's grandmother. Not the wolf. It seems that the wolf was just a symbol - something the girl imagined. To make a long story short: the girl's grandmother was supposed to take a cake to her grandmother, during this trip she killed a wolf and as a result, her granddaughter had to repeat the story -> take a cake to grandma and die. However, this did not come true. As a result, Little Red Riding Hood has to kill her granddaughter - telling her a bedtime story is only a preparation for such a terrible event. A story that repeats itself.

Going back to rewatch this animation once again! COZ this is just too good!!! It's so simple yet so direct and creatively expressive. The use of mixed media and styles for an effective storytelling - is. just. insane! I'm here to inspire myself, to bring out my own creative juices for my own passion project. And then I'm wondering abt the ending again, coz... it's just like what someone mentioned, everyone is a villian for each other, and a hero for themselves. But think of it, the ending could have made the girl a hero for killing the mother wolf but in the midst of the child's killing rampage, the wolf reverted back to the skin of the grandma (her paw turning to human hand at the end) and let's hypothesize that the policeman went there and first saw a human body instead, would he suspect the girl even though the girl would say that the dead is actually a wolf? Looking back, there may be doubts at first but will eventually believe the girl coz remember, the grandma's corpse is still intact in some room, they'll discover it pretty soon and believe the girl in the end. But it's like the beginning of the end. Coz they may have seen the truth and justified the girl's defense... the seed of doubt has been sprouted. And from the overall perspective, the girl is the real villain, not by choice of survival, but there's always the hint of pleasure seen when she's doing her actions. She's naturally evil that always seeking out excuses to justify her actions. Especially with the wolf, she could have just killed it simply and left, but she ate him. She doesn't necessarily needed that considering she could have other means to eat... her actions have some level of pettiness to eat, I'll eat u since u wanted to eat me. An eye for an eye kinds thing. anyway, this took long, and there may be some points that i haven't worded right so i apologize. here are my thoughts. <3

I wanna know what's up with the cake

No one noticed the little glance of grandmother to the dog when she try to get riding hood come in the house ?!! That white dog is not just only fits the music but also to reveal mother wolf’s face under the cover. Such brilliant dog and animation too
