I’m having a problem scanning slides without glare. The light box is so bright I see my phone on the image.

The edges of my photos are curled, how can I flatten photos for scanning?
@Photomyne2 күн бұрын
You can try to place a gass on top of it or maybe to put it in a page holder

I have a question. I'm looking at photos as far back as the 1940's, when my parents were kids. To that end they go forward. I have a lot of photos that I can't figure out when they were taken. Do you have any recommendations to how to sort out the photos? For example, maybe by decade, or something like that? Also, I see you don't have 8mm movie attachments. If I have the movies converted on another platform, can I save them to Photomyne?
@Photomyne2 күн бұрын
Hello. There is no way to save 8mm to Photomyne, you can backup it up on your HD. In regards of finding the date of the photo we have the magic tag tool but this only works with the option to recognise a location.

I love the idea of scanning my photo album pics into a digital file. Does this take up a ton of memory? With photos and image files that's always the problem.

You can always use our "free up space" option to lower the space and transfer your scans to your PC.

I discovered this app recently and unwittingly subscribed to the membership. I didn’t really want to as I wanted to check it out first but I have been billed for it. So, question is, what if I don’t like it, can I get a refund? Secondly, if I do like it, was my payment a once off payment for ever, or is it an annual subscription? Thanks

I overslept and missed the original recording of this presentation. I am so thankful that you are making it available to watch at anyone's convenience. My question is: I have concerns about scanning older or any photos because the scanning can fade the original. So what are your theories or facts about this happening to original photos?
@Photomyne19 күн бұрын
Photomyne includes a filter within its scanner that enhances the original coloring of the photo you scan. Feel free to reach out to our support team at [email protected] and they will gladly assist

What a touching story, and a beautiful handsome couple you make. Sometimes our parents and elders know more than we do what is best for us, and in the West, too many marriages fail because they are based on fluffy romantic love with no concept of commitment through thick and thin, and often with nothing in common between them. The same stories can be told about Jewish arranged marriages, too. I love the dialogue in song between Tevye and Golda in "Fiddler on the Roof" which explains it so well. I am sure it is very scary and confusing for young people to be thrust into marriage with someone they don't even know, but these life partners are not chosen randomly, but with love and having their best interests at heart by those who brought them up. Congratulations to you both on a life well lived together, and thank you for sharing your story so movingly.

@WayWalker32 күн бұрын
Once you turn the clicker on (most models have a slider switch), you activate Bluetooth on your phone, and look for the device. Once you add/authorize it, that's it. The clicker will probably come with a small instruction sheet.

@Photomyne2 ай бұрын
Thank you for reaching out to us. The privacy of our users is of the utmost importance to us. By default, all the photos you create with the Photomyne app are set as private (hidden from others). This default setting can only change if you actively and/or explicitly decide to make them public by exporting or sharing them with a third party. To learn more about photo privacy, you’re invited to visit our Privacy Policy page (photomyne.com/privacy-policy).

Thank you for your comment. Here are some tips to avoid glare: Light angles - Try changing the lighting angles, and possibly the location where you work. Have light sources to the left and/or right. Avoid having the light source behind or front of you, or above the photographs. Time of day - Most of our users report that natural morning light works best for them. Avoid having direct sunlight on the photos you’re scanning. Avoid artificial lighting if possible - bright lamp lights usually cause glare. Try using either natural light from a nearby window, or use a lamp with softer light - again, not directly projecting onto the photos you’re scanning. Use a photo tent to diffuse light sources, soften shadows and reduce glares. The scanning process takes a bit of trial and error, but with a little bit of patience you’ll find the right combination that works best for you. Feel free to reach out to us at [email protected] if you have any other questions.
