Hot Creek was very popular for soaking and swimming until it closed for that in 2006. I went there many times over many years with friends before it closed.

Serene and beautiful, but the water must be brutally cold at this time of the year. You must be the bravest paddle-boarder in Lake Tahoe!

I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. (Luke 13:5) But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. (Isaiah 64:6) As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. (Romans 3:10-12)

Heavenly charges $96 now? That is crazy AF. It used to be so much less when I worked there about 15 years ago. It is really beautiful though.

If you are camping, be careful where and how you leave your food. There are some bears around.

The view from the top of Mt. Whitney is quite spectacular. Of course, you have to hike a big and steep climb to get there.

I would love to hike & explore there but I am not willing to have an encounter with a bear, mountain Lion, or other mammal that could cause harm or even death to me or a family member. I don't understand why California denies people their Right to carry a pistol.
