Mooie uitvoering van Widor 2 op een prachtig orgel ervoor. Vraag me af hoeveel organisten het latere Salve Regina spelen ipv het Scherzo uit 1872. Ik blijf het Scherzo de betere keuze vinden.

Yes beautifully played and I dare say a tempo that perhaps was the right one all along. It can work at faster tempi of course. That’s why we love Bach. The substance will shine through. Even questionably worked gold is still gold.

Wat ik ook prachtig vind in het trio is dat je niet overmatig articuleert. Je schept een prachtig evenwicht tussen de geldende uitvoeringspraktijk en het legatospel. Dat doe je Gewéldig!

Auch hier erweist es sich, daß die niederländische Orgelbaufirma Flentrop ganz vorzügliche Instrumente baut, wobei u. a. auf jenes der Hauptkirche St. Katharinen in Hamburg verwiesen sei.

Played beautifully and at the correct tempo - some others play it way too fast making it meaningless. A rough translation is 'All men are Mortal', so it is often played a funeral.
