Why does Malta struggle with training? With squires They get a little slower build time in hospitals(hospitalers and fire throwers are slow af at seconds. ) . They also have faster cannon built time than at least the civs that don't have artillery built tine card. With Forts though they even have the fastest build time for field guns.

By right the card should give a decent training speed but it doesn't. Not always you will need Falconets and not always you can setup your forts. Even with Forts their training speed is not that fast.

Damn, Spain is really that good huh? Inca being low was expected honestly but I'm shocked just how rough China has it now. Italy is getting a bit better each patch. While I think they are still the worst Euro civ for team treaty, they aren't complete bottom tier anymore. Papal units are more viable now and I've been warming up to the pavisiers. I underestimated how game-changing 5-pop Fixed Guns are for Malta, especially in team games. 8 player matches are pure chaos with these things. Malta still wishes it could train units faster from anything that wasn't a fort.

Almost below average eco, annoying sustain system with the Lombards. Below average units. Poor infinite shipment.

I was suffering, No point playing dutch mercs and russia into ethiopia and japan in a choke. Units easily get slapped.

I am definitely above average, especially in 1v1. I can beat Spain, France etc., but Mexico... it is just not fun to play against them. Broken as hell. I even bought the DLC and played a few games, but it is not fun to plas as Mexico either. I am currently playing USA Texas build, and eventually Zouave build when facing Mexico.

Unfortunately Dutch akan card does not work, as of the recent patch the native embasy does not get the ability to train them (it is a bug). As a result Dutch looses their native play almost completely. 17 Carib allies is still a good card, however there is no reason to bring cheaper natives or higher native build limit unless you are playing 1v1 and will need to play natives regardless.

Agreed, it’s just a straight up bug that really screws up Dutch nat play. I don’t think Dutch are bottom tier or anything though. They still had some improvements.

@@Venomdrad I am still not super satisfied with some aspects of Dutch. They struggle sustaining their armies in longer games and their musketeer (blue guard) is just a bad unit. However, it is hard to fix those things without breaking the civ and making it overpowered.

They are quiet decent they lost the infantry speed debuff from the church card and also have muskets which is what they needed.
