Coach 809. The coach’s cab car twin with a “1” added in front of the “8” is 1809. Cab control coaches have four digit numbers, while blind trailers have three.

August 18, 2017. Just think a 4-year-old bi-level coupled to a 28-year-old single level, which means the Rotem coach is 24 years newer than the three Bombardier single-level cars behind it, crazy. 😮 The bi-level is way newer than the Pullman coach-34 years newer which was right behind the locomotive. The Pullman 200s are exactly a decade older than the Bombardiers which include the 300s, 600s and the now retired 1600s. The Rotems are still the youngest commuter rail coaches in service even though they’ll be 12 years old on April 24th. The last of the cars were delivered in February 2015, so those will be 10 years old in three months from now. The second-gen Hyundai Rotems are officially the newest commuter rail coaches in the fleet as of 2024, which are still currently being delivered. Deliveries will be finished in late January of 2025 before the last batch of the first-gen Rotems hit 10 years of age. Ten days ago was the 12th anniversary of the first four pilot coaches of the previous Rotem order arriving at MBTA’s Boston Engine Terminal (BET) in Somerville, MA from South Korea where they were manufactured by Hyundai Rotem. The youngest coach coupled to the oldest coaches in the same trainset, crazy. Newer bi-level cars are compatible for rebuilding to extend their lifespan or usefulness until retirement when they reach their midlife point of their service life because they are more modern 21 century technology that are most recent in construction in North America-the U.S. and Canada, but the single-levels are not because of their age and wear and tear as well as serious deterioration all taking their toll on them from heavy passenger use since they were approaching the 25 to 30-year recommended lifespan, as stated by the manufacturer and aging terribly or rapidly. All of the aging single-levels weren’t built recently, the oldest were built in the late 1970s and are not modern technology since they’ve been around for almost 50 years at this point. The bi-levels are made from mass-produced stainless steel, a corrosion-proof and non-deterioration, sturdy material that makes a railcar have an improved life span of at least thirty to thirty-five years. The rest of the aging single-levels were built more than 30 years ago in the late 1980s and early 1990s, most of which have already been retired and placed into long-term storage, before pending to be scrapped. Also called an “extension rebuild”.

Crazy that this is a nearly sold-out show in a 5000-capacity venue. They literally 10 years ago would be lucky to get 200 people to show up in a dive bar in the US.

How did you like the Essex railroad? I've been down there many times too and it's a great place to visit if you want to see steam powered trains.

Wait what happened to the climax locomotive? They literally just got it back in service. What happened was this taking a few weeks before the climax return to service or was this taken on its exact date?

Nice, you should combine your episodes, so you don't need to upload each clip seperatly
