Really enjoying this Keyboard. This is a usable job. Been getting some very good Hammond sounds - which you can have 8 settings in front of you at any time - instant. Many wins here but for me two are portability and the layout (which is similar to the Nord Stage 4).

Good evening, I congratulate you on your channel and your valuable advice! I am a singing enthusiast with a good vocal timbre, and I need some advice for karaoke singing at a good level, using a JBL PartyBox 120 speaker, but with limited ability to adjust the microphone’s equalization. I prefer genres such as Italian singer-songwriters and light music (Pooh, Red Canzian, Antonello Venditti, Francesco De Gregori, Carosone, Gino Paoli, etc.). Would you recommend: Beta 58A (which I already own, but I find it not warm enough and it may make my voice a bit nasal in the mid-highs), SM58 (which seems warmer and truer to my vocal timbre but perhaps less bright), Sennheiser e835, Sennheiser 845, Sennheiser e935, or e945 (which I am not familiar with at all)? Thank you in advance for your reply!

I use my X32 Compact since 2015, recorded several releases on it and still use it as my main drum recording device...but to be honest the wing is ordered already:-) . But i can highly recommend the x32. I shot out the pre´s against my Warm Audio WA273 Neve Clone pre...the x32 won it.

Why do everybody has to put mixers and shit in the beginner, professional segment? Beeing a dj aint about how many buttons you have or how expencive the gear is. It is all down to the music you are playing. So tired of listening to people going. Ohhh... This mixer is for beginner, and this one is best for the home dj's... FUCK NO! If you hear me playing in front of 10.000 people, you would not know if Im using a 500$ or 10000$ setup. PUHH! Just had to get it off my back.

And only 100 dollars less than a PS5! (sarcasm). I simply can't justify buying something this low tech, for such a high price. By trying to make music at this point, you might aswell just give the phone call scammers access to your credit card. It will save you more money than trying to get into making music.

I sent the MK4 61 I had purchased back to Amazon because I found the edge of the white keys were scratching my fingers when playing. The plastic edges at the end of the keys protrude slightly leaving a sharp corner edge. This makes for an unpleasant playing experience. I am amazed none of the reviews mentions this so I am wondering did I just get unlucky with a faulty model or is this common to all MK4s?

The 64 bar record limit is shit. If your strings go from bar 64 to 65, the strings will cut out at the beginning of 65, which is very annoying. Didn't expect this from Roland. (Must do better)

I'm looking for a lightweight 49 key controller, and this one looks really good. More compact than previous version with mod and pitch wheels on top, but still, sincerely, I don't like the squared corners, nothing at all, and its shape still seems very unfriendly for using it with iPads or tablet-like Windows computers. It may also be unnecessarily high in my opinion. The key bed looks much much better than other similar keyboards, but still it doesn't fit what I'm looking for. EDIT: ouch, weight, 4kg is too heavy for me...

Wish they could make new X Air 18 level mixer with that Wing style infrastructure. With a still affordable price. That full blown Wing is bit too much for many rockband, rehearsal studio or small scale venue users🤷

The only thing is, Gear 4 Music don’t have the Wing Rack in stock due to a problem with their distributers…Andertons and Thommon have sent out a second batch but G4M have not sent out one yet as They can’t get them 🤷♂

And don't forget the best part of this recorder.... IF you're a musician and play naturally before or after the beat of a grid, (shuffle or flam) you can set quantize to match your playing style. I found if I set quantize for 77% (100% is perfect on grid) when I play back the recording it sounds precisely like I want it. Alternatively, whenever using quantize at 100% the recorder plays back on grid and I sound like a robot. Human feel can be set from 0% to 100% in 1% increments so you can find your natural groove. It is amazing hearing my performance played back precisely as I hear it and desire it.

I have always preferred the sound of Sennheiser dynamics over those boomy bass-heavy mics of other manufacturers. Many a year ago I picked up an e815s and it sounds just fine as a general purpose mic. Now looking to upgrade, maybe a supercardioid or hypercardioid would be a better choice for what I do.

wow the Subzero Series is very close optical copy of the old Tannoy 601. abd i love the the Tannoys. ;)
@pianofry24 күн бұрын
The main value of massive dynamic range isn't to capture nuanced playing (this was possible on tape with c. 60dB dynamic range) and using the whole 120dB of dynamic range will blow your eardrums (both at capture time, and reproduction if you can find something studio sized that will go that loud at your listening distance). The major benefit is that you can record at a lower level, for whatever reason (accidentally setting gain too low), and recover easily by adjusting in post. Having that amount of gain, with such low noise, is a wonderful thing - now our mic/source self-noise becomes the problem. Modern gear is soooo good!
