These Marik Alliance missions have been a lot of fun to watch, I never formed an alliance so never got to experience them. I liked your approach on the triple victor. Just remove the AC20s and they are fairly ineffectual. Second mission was steady, love a good double kill because of CT ammo. Multi-target it such a good ability, a bit obvious that though. It's just so effecient.

I like alliance missions, just adds some extra backstory to each faction but in exchange they are tough! :) Yeah I couldn't afford to take 300 DMG a turn from them, they were a priority in my eyes. But like of mechs take care of the big gun/s and they are useless perfect case to demonstrate that statement :D. Multi-target is just bread and butter, simple yet soooo good! its even better in a certain mod where there's different ammo types for certain weapons to say...spread a little fire there an there ;)

@Deffy_Dhuck I did say it'll be +100 episodes, it is a cool game though. I stopped playing it to watch you, then played wrath of the righteous for a bit, but got side tracked by other games... will have to get back to it though may need to start again as was well over a year ago now.

@@matthewpennell8592 Aye you weren't joking, I did mention the turn based mechanic slows it down but I like it. If you want to speed the game and focus on the gameplay. Put the kingdom on automatic, when you go to the throne room, you can skip to the next event. that will speed things up quite a bit I found :)

Ah nothing worse than being ill and having a schedule you'd like to commit to eh? Glad you recovered! Ah the old tonnage limitations, good thing you were able to sort of navigate around that with the extra lance. That almost got me on many occasions with those Flashpoints. That first mission got real dicey! Well recovered from the lance that flanked you. That second one, wow. You had a really strong plan with an undermanned lance and a dreadful spawn. That Banshee had one job and understood the assignment. But that shot on the leg not the back, that did it huh. RIP Naz. You did well, sure the AC20 might have been addressed sooner, chances are something else would have done something to get you. That was another fun one to watch!

Aye, did the best I could. I have really purged these missions from my memory, horrible and stressful 😫. Naz was a strong Pilot, I hate seeing the custom characters go really pains me to be honest, god help me when I get round to doing XCOM 2 myself lol. Glad you're enjoying these pal, they're a candle compared to your series 😉

That was a lot of fun to watch! Tactics out the window and the gloves are off. Everyone getting the punches in, especially the BSC! I think I took the same story choices as you in your previous season then, good to see the outcome here. I had a feeling Hadley would have gotten away haha. Guillotine looks dependable, I can imagine plasma rifles would excel in that thing but it looks good as it is now.

yep, sometimes you got to stuff the fancy shite and get in fist first XD. Honestly there was no need for firing lines for anything just get them done and dusted, my kinda fight :) the Guillotine performs quite well if I remember right, not a bad mech in its own right!

Bull in a china shop seems to be the best case scenario for the Banshee. Just charges in and bullies provided it maintains high armour. Haha slapshot missing those stamps like he's missing a cockroach on purpose because it's icky 🤣 The variety in missions is always a good thing, enjoyed the quick pace of this one. Breaks up the horror of those brutal (though entertaining) slogs you have to endure ;) BattleTech always deserves a thorough playthrough. It is one of those games that keeps giving, especially through it's deep mods like this one.

Yep that's what it excels at! just get in and give them the severe malky :D Honestly I hate it when that happens, 90ish% and misses. I had a 98% melee miss once on a tank, honestly I thought I was playing X-COM XD Oh yeah Variety is a good thing, I dont mind the quicker missions, sometimes I prefer them, Sometimes a battle can just drag on thats why I tend to be go very aggressive towards the later half! It does, thats why I love this game. Its not just the mods, but not one playthrough is either the same, its always different to agree. HBS created gold :D

Yep, thats the thing about Battletech Extended, it comes with a unique mech table. Certain factions will have lore mechs, so yeah it took me a long time to get it. Oh that and Random Salvage lol Yep, it will do although getting a two gauss mech would have been nice, one thing I regret not using was a Triple Binary Laser and Gauss Rife Atlas. I wanted to use that at least once :(

Yeah I can understand why, but im the opposite, Gauss on a King Crab dont feel right either XD. One of the best Gauss Mechs do not get me wrong! I used a double HVAC 30 Build once and it was power! but I prefer Ultra 5s or AC10s as my go to :)

Secret of Mana.. it has been a very long time indeed. Do yourself a favor and take the tile to level up your weapons, weapon skills and most importantly your magic once you get it. You will need it.

Aye, noted I remember how important it was, I struggled with my first playthrough before I released how needed it was to level every up. Been burned in my mind forever!

Yep! for me, leveling Gnome was crucial, Defender and Speed up. Defence and Evasion was my spams most of the time

Wow that was looking rough for bit. I felt the pain of the misclick, at least it isn't just me that does that then. Terrible luck at times too. I think your luck turned around when Archangel came through with the dodge in the Marauder. That is indeed a nice Grasshopper ;) imagine it in a cool environment. Ooof. Battlemaster looks interesting. Mixed missile is something I'll always struggle to convince myself to do. I think it's only my Orion that has both. Banshee's are so limiting, AC10 is the right call though, since it has that extra range and will take a while to close the distance. Awesome was a pleasant surprise. That will do some nice damage!

Yeah it was a rough one, surrounded on three flanks. Wish that leg shot never happened, it would have been nice to have the other Orion on :) Oh yeah I think the grasshopper disco laser setup proves to be good a little later on I think. Mixed missile is ok set up, but the ranges between the SRMs and LRMs is too high to have a coordinated attack, the % will be all over the place without gunnery, that why I recommended the MMLs for the Crusader in your series :D Not a huge fan of Banshees, I tried with this one. It does the job :) and yeah that Awesome, you'll see the damage eventually mwaahaha!

Oh that was a terrific battle, you adapted very well. Absolute nonsense about not being able to run uo that obvious road in the middle of the bloody map! Trying to get the Longbow to just bug out was funny. What a madlad. Wow another Stalker? That's a happy Deffy! Also you're build is so so similar to what I want to do too! I will use some clan LRMs to compensate for less weight. Audio is very good and balanced as well, that was something you asked at the start of this. Was about to post this then the outro rolled. That was cool!

Yeah one of my favourites of the season :D really had me thinking, you can tell towards the end fatigue was kicking in. XD I despise this map for that one reason, if I could it would make the easier work better BUT Im glad I didn't because I would have been sandwiched between the lances in front and the one to the right :) Yep, I wanted a longbow soooo badly XD Clan 20's would be chef's kiss, either that or two Arrow IVs with both Endo and Ferro, but thats what the Shiltrum(?) is for eh? but yeah Clan 80 would just destroy, especially with Artemis for tighter clustering, and yes it works on Clan LRMs XD Cool, I thought its sounded alright, I wasn't sure back then. I did adjust between then and now but cheers :) Yeah I like, been wanting a animated outro for ages. Huge fan of anime, so that checks that box and the song is from a newish band called Never Easy, 2000s era music. stuff like Deftones, Linkin Park if you're familiar with it :)

Yeah BIG STEEL CLAW! I'm so going to have to do that Flashpoint in my run. That double gauss miss was unfortunate. If that happens again it could l be a treat for Beermatt in the Highlander 😂 So. Is the Dervish actually considered any good? I do think you've optimised it now as best as you can do. It looks much more fit for it's natural build now I must say than what it was before.

Gotta love the BSC, consistency is its watch word! Oh yeah, in BTA it might have been given an upgrade! Yeah dont see why not if you're up for it :D The only problem about the dervish, is its armour to weight ratio. Because it has a high engine the leftover weight is very low, so pretty much have to go one way or the other. You'll have more options, as a stock mech it has more punch then its 55 counterparts in my opinion. However it built more of a Skirmisher then the other options, it focuses on long range with LRMs and JJ, so the heat is balanced, the extra armaments of SRMs and MLs is more for point defence and being a secondary Striker. A lot of people do like the Dervish, I think the trick is use one set of weapons up close and the other at range to counteract the heat build up, but overall im not that much of fan, but with an engine chance I think it'll be more efficient :)

My brain shrinks when I play 😂 But yeah, go in hot then cool off with a punch is a valid strategy but like you say. Less tonnage for armour at that range would make me feel uneasy anyway.

lol yeah, as why I tend to go with Alpha strike builds. Just aim and shoot dont need to worry about anything else except for over heating XD. I just to run low armour builds alright, but I lost confidence of the last year. I should try being risking again..

Aye I should have if I wasn't using RNG house rules, I would have used the RNG to choose where I build it do so the chance to build one on kamino would have been low. However it's more fun this way 😀

Holy moly that's a lot of mechs out there! On your side anyway. That was still a lot of fun to watch, it would have been cool if they went for the attack and defence style where they have waves until you bugger off or kill them all. I guess it's like you once told me, there is that limit (sort of) to what it will allow numbers wise. Hopefully if there ever is a BattleTech 2.... Yeeeeees! My man got his Marauder! I salute the dual UAC5 Shadow hawk. It did win me over. Solid build you did for it. Reliable build for the Marauder there, I think you could make that dual UAC5 build work. Maybe just one ml each side that you don't actually use that often, just there in case you need the extra push. I could have my weight totally off there making that work though haha. I think you've chosen well actually. Ooo this Orion-VA Build you saw with 4 missile hard points would be interesting. I wish I was by my PC now to have a gander since I have the parts for another I think. That could totally work as an SRM build. Treat it a bit like a bigger Kintaro in a way with a bit more utility.

The license current belongs to Microsoft, so maybe another developer could come along and hopefully do the series justice, but yeah we'll see. they will announce it on my death bed XD Oh same the double Ultra 5s would be good, just not the now dont have the right Items, maybe if you get a marauder yourself that could work for you! But I got an better more iconic build in the next ep or two ;) Actually yeah the VA would be fantastic, 4x6 SRM24 two Large lasers and two small pulses? that could work that. that is more realistic then you think, Id rather have a decent studio have a decent crack with time and patience then rush it XD Yep that sort of loadout would be best in a striker role (A Mech that unleashes its full alpha then ducks behind cover and cools for one turn) or a General Assault role (A Mech that sacrifices armour, for weapons of all ranges and heat sinking. Range assault is the same but with long range weapons and Close Assault is short range weapons. High risk high reward, The Marauder 3R (Stock) has a range assault loadout). :)

There's nothing wrong with lots of LRMs! You know what you get with them and you can apply damage pretty much every turn! Bloody hell that Stalker just got even better! No wonder it's your favourite build. Nothing should be able to have THAT many large lasers alpha strike for multiple turns. Damn nice!

Always to throw in a fun little edit from time to time! Maybe I'll have to revisit it in my run. You know, to leave some flowers by the grave and all that 😅

I prefer building from scratch instead of just popping in every mission to add this or take that out. Once I got a build I stick with it until it gets torn apart then do another one. I prefer to play with the mentality of "once it confirms it stays" Like a XCOM Promotion I suppose ;)

@@Deffy_Dhuck It's bloody scary permadeath. You never quite get used to it! You can really squeeze every tonne out of a mech when you go from scratch. Really optimise the build!

I can't remember the Striker, there is always another mech our there... I actually like how you handled that ambush, dealt with everything in the right order with the right mech. Nice. It was nice to see the Big Steel Claw go all stompy on them vehicles! Oh nice Binary laser. Very nice. I would like to this Atlas build of you have in mind. Haha Oh as a bit of a Japanophile myself, that part where you where sounding out the language got me!

Yeah I dont remember the little vehicle Striker growing up so fast ;). honestly never heard of it, in fact later on I get introduced to another mech I never heard of it and that one looks cool :D Yep the ambush went amazing, sometime I employ a little strategy here and there but overall I prefer a good brawl XD Yep triple binary is still on the table with a nice gauss as well :) Lol! yeah, I've been learning the language on and off over the last 15ish years. still waiting for the day I go :D Edit: Also pal, I noticed you were close to the big one, I got four alt accounts to push you over congratz :D

As for the rest of what you said, triple binary? AND a gauss!? Good greif, that must be for the Atlas right? Ahh if you get the change to go, you wont regret it. Had to good fortune of going myself. @@Chimpy13 you deserve it pal, I'm annoyed I didn't come across you sooner 😁. Yeah I ran 3 binary and a silver bullet Gauss on a atlas D in my MW5 series. That's a shotgun version of a Gauss, the whole combination is super super strong, but that's what I'm aiming for if I get one before this run ends 💪 I heard nothing but the best, but one day if I can, ha! One day I'll get there, one day 😉

That Shadow Hawk with the 2 UAC/5s really is the definition of a glass cannon huh. What a punch! Very impressed by your knowledge of all these mechs, well at, your knowledge of what has a large laser cannot be disputed 😉 Oh the Thunderbolt and it's centre torso ammo. It's like it wants to die! The role play idea is interesting! Might well be worth doing, would be torture for you if you ever wanted to use other mechs though!

That's the nerd in me, once you memorise certain loadouts it makes the fights more easier, knowledge is power after all 😉 espically the killshot for a thunderbolt lol Yeah im still thinking about it would be interesting but yeah it'll lock me out of done options so we'll see
