Nice video, I am surprised by how easy it is to remove the covers and do a !ight service and oil. My local dealers all charge over $ 300 for this service.

Wonderful! Dialogue and transcription are more helpful than video. Pity your father wasn’t a glass maker … but the green shirt is interesting.

My thread cutter arm won’t move. When I push the button it doesn’t seem to be making contact maybe. Any suggestions. I have this model.

Actually, the screw which holds the embroidery arm connection is a T-15 and by the way, thank you for the information on how to get the manual for this unit. I have been able to keep our running and doing its job. I still think the Designer 1 is the best, the most dependable Viking unit they have made for some years.

Can the hook screws be accessed without opening up the machine if the timing is off??

Being new to Berninas, I have a question. When I first turn on the Activa125, the needle makes a noise and vibrates back and forth. I think the machine is calibrating itself. Then when I step on the foot controller. It makes another weird noise near the bobbin/shuttle area of the machine but sews just fine and makes no more weird sounds until I switch off the power and then switch it on again. Then upon turning on, the needle wobbles back and forth and again the foot controller makes a weird sound again. I think I understand the needle part but is the noise with the foot controller normal? Thanks for explaining the step motors in this video.

Interested in a new machine but reading Husqvarnas aren’t worth the money due to so much plastic. They break easily. Is this true?

Your hand moved in the way just when I needed to see. Also, I'm not sure that my needle, eetc. is in the correct position. Some guidelines for the setup would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Very similar! There is a little lever in the exact same spot, pull it towards you and the plate will release.

Hi there. I have an old 830 Record. Broke a needle today, and now the bobbin is jammed. I dismantled the bobbin case, thinking it would be straightforward, removed the broken needle, but the machine is still jammed. I'm trying to find your video on the Bernina bobbin case. Can you please point me to it?

Thank you for this video! I’m attempting to fix my niece’s singer 5705c that went out of time when she tried to sew heavy material. Unfortunately, I loosened the needle bar in my initial attempt because the needle, though properly seated, was catching on the metal case. I now understand that it is supposed to go low enough to dip into the open space when properly timed. I don’t know where to start, now that both the timing and needle bar are out of whack!
