Definitely a time skip. Where robin was during the grape seen was heaven. The doctor was the kid in heaven with the grey hair and the chick who wanted to go outside was the girl with the floppy ears who he loved who could see the future. She said flat out that in the future someone with the one with Tokio’s face came to take her outside but it wasn't her, it was her kid, Maru. I also think the brain wasn't switched and the trauma from the operation made her think she was her brother but l'm not 100% sure. Maru definitely is special, his mom was tokio who had twins and he is looking for his other twin and he lost his tooth or chipped it and it grew back. I gotta read the manga. I like the mystery and amount of the plot they leave out to make you think and fill in the gaps. I don't know any other anime/ shows that are like that. Solid discussion on this. It only gets better with the second watch. You catch on to a lot you didn’t during the first watch.

Rurouni Kenshin is 10/10 in my books. It's my fave anime and manga since I was 11 and still now that I'm 37. The best redemption story and i have learned so many valuable lessons from it.

Good review! However, I feel like many of the criticisms are surface level and can be explained away by reevaluating the scenes. Such as with Kayo’s mother. Her whole scene was not about her being a victim, but rather showing the vicious cycle that led to her becoming despicable. Satoru even mentions that Kayo wouldn’t look at her, despite her broken sobbing. The main antagonist is meant to be rather obvious. He was already being planted as a red herring, it was up to you whether or not you would believe him like Satoru that brought the thrill. That makes his reveal scene all the more impactful to me. Though, yeah sometimes those kids seem too smart for their own good lmao… Kenya the nerd emoji.

5:40 I don't think there's any other way to write a back story in a demon slayer world; The back stories were meant for us to know their greatest motivations and through them, we see these hashiras/ corps member don't really care for fame or fortune; and they would become the strongest for the sake of others, not because they want a title. I think that despite the similarities of the tragedies, what I like about the hashiras is their unwavering determination to extinguish all demons just so no tragedies that happened to them will happen to another.

She was absolutely worth it to Paul; the smile on his face shows that. He did his best as a father and husband to locate and save his entire family after the mass teleportation event. Rudius went into the events in the Teleportatiin Labrynth with the knowledge that he was going to have regrets, no matter how things unfolded. Even though he was grieving the loss of paul and his mother's condition, the fact that it was worth it to Paul will.make it worth it to Rudy.

I think it was worth it just for the raid loot Lol, all jokes aside, I loved hearing the banter. Even if dead, Zenith would've been worth it. Zenith was always worth it to Paul, even before Rudy was born. To me, Paul is the kind of father we don't know we need until he's gone. He was the kind of father that taught us, to be a man wasn't just swords and getting pussy. It's about protecting, providing and earning respect. You can tell his companions thought he was scum of a human being, but they had to respect him, and through his actions, he earned it. That's why rudeus said, "I need to share his determination." it's explained better in the LN, but the whole party was caught off guard by the hydra suddenly thrashing 8 neck stumps around like whips. rudeus was in the thick of it and the two tanks were overwhelmed, so paul had to step in and be the shield. it wasn't rudy's fault. him being so close will naturally lead to situations like that, and this time elinalise wasn't there to bail him out. he tried to use his eye of foresight but there was so much chaos and he was too close to the main body to get a good view of what was going on, which also distracted him. what cut off his arm was the hydra's heavy eyelid clamping down after he stabbed the eye and then him getting lifted up with great force and thrashed around in the air. Luke was a shitter, worse than Eris in season 1 when Rudy beat her that time in the beach. And Rudy can't use Battle Armor (Like Paul, Ghislaine, Ruijerd, etc...) at all so his reaction speed and physical feats are reduced to those of an average human athlete (and not like the best ones)

With rudy there, they were blowing through the floors. We know they had to get to the boss room from the OP but the charecters didnt, so they had to search the entirety of each floor for Zenith. BTW the monsters have nests on the lowest floor they appear on unless they are a mutation of dead adventurers. So yes they can clear the dungeon of monsters

The girl with the skimpy clothes is named Veirra. There's actually a reason why she wore a bikini armor earlier in the series and not a studio reason. During the teleportation incident, she and her sister sheirra was caught in the teleportation and was teleported in a place filled with men. They were assaulted by those men until Paul's team rescued them. Veirra manages to collect and free herself from the trauma using sheer fwilling but sadly her sister didn't and whenever men look at her sister, the ptsd kicks in. And so her idea to help her sister and the female victims that they rescue is to wear revealing clothes so that the gaze of men would be on her to lessen the burden to victims. Which is also why when Rudy said improper things to her, Paul punch him because he has no idea what the been through. Right now the sister is gradually healing that's why she doesn't need that outfit anymore.

Kamui's character is someone who likes battle. In the past timeline, he let Ragna stab himself by obstructing the (High Class) Wind Dragon just to see something interesting. This time, despite them fighting in miliseconds in the manga (that's how fast they are) he spared Ragna cuz he knows Ragna will want revenge.
