!!! UPDATE 2 !!! Recently, I found a better alternative for old games that works even better, called CNC-DDRAW, which not only allows you to customise things such as display settings and framerate for the games, but also fixes lag and other things in certain games that weren't fixable before with the DDRAW COMPAT, so DDRAW didn't do the trick, this one might actually do it for you. The process is basically the same as in the video for this one as well, the only difference being that CNC-DDRAW contains multiple files that needs to be extracted into the game's folder. Once extracted, the settings I was talking about can be found by accessing "cnc-ddraw config.exe" among the files extracted in the game's folder, in case you wish to customise certains things such as the ones previously mentioned. You can get CNC-DDRAW from here: github.com/FunkyFr3sh/cnc-ddraw/releases

Holy shit dude, i just downloaded chicken invaders , and it was lagging like mad. This fix worked like a charm, it's a shame that videos like this don't get more traction . Thank you very very much dude

Hey dude just wanted to say thank u so much for this. I've had some time off wrk and can't believe I discovered the old army men pc game I had when I was 10 yrs old. It clearly didn't wrk well until I did what ur video instructed lol. I'm 35 now and memories are coming flooding back😅. Thanks again!!!

Thank you !! Thank you, thank you thank you so so so much! I can not thank you enoug. Like you have no idea. I had this older game that after me getting new computer (windows 10) would just not work. It opened yes but was running so slowly it was unplayable. I tried everything. But this finally did the trick. Thank you so much, now I can play one of my favourite older game again. Thank you
