Yes, you are correct, unfortunately this a very poor quality video and I apologize for that. But please understand that this is an older video and one of the first flight videos I have taken as a child. I have made the decision to upload these older flight videos for anyone who is interested in viewing them, especially since some of these videos may feature airline/aircraft/flight route combinations that no longer exist. Any future videos I take will be much better quality.

Is it 6 mints are enough for transfer at tikkurila for the person who are coming for 1st time... My route is also same..
@worldtravelfin2 жыл бұрын
6 minutes is very little, but it should be just enough time as long as you move quickly. But I would change the ticket to a longer transfer at Tikkurila, if possible. When you arrive to Tikkurila, immediatly go up the stairs to get above the platform. From there, check the monitors that show your train number and which track it leaves from. Then, locate that track and go down the stairs to the correct platform. I recommend trying the "VR Matkalla" app as it gives you information on what track your train leaves from, so that you know exactly where to go before you even arrive to Tikkurila. Good luck!

Finland and Sweden should build a Rail-Road bridge over the Baltic sea connecting the cities Turku and Stockholm. I guess these two countries could easily build the bridge without any outside help because both the countries are rich and could afford to build the bridge. That will reduce the travel sickness to cross the Baltic sea by ships. The Baltic sea is usually a rough sea .
@worldtravelfin2 жыл бұрын
This sounds like an interesting idea. There has been a plan to construct a railway tunnel between Helsinki and Tallinn as the two cities are not too far apart. Also, with the Rail Baltica project, this tunnel would give quick and easy access from Finland to the Baltics and the rest of Europe. If these projects take place, I wonder if a railway between Turku and Stockholm would be worth investing in? Also, the track gauge in Finland is different from the European standard gauge, which would create a bit of issues for transportation past Stockholm.
@allyreneepenny94472 жыл бұрын
Great idea 👍But Finland has a other gauge than Sweden.
@allyreneepenny94472 жыл бұрын
@@worldtravelfin That's true with the gauge.Has Finland the same gauge like Russia or Ukraine❓
@worldtravelfin2 жыл бұрын
@@allyreneepenny9447 Yes, Finland uses the 1524mm gauge that is compatible with the 1520mm gauge used in Russia, Ukraine, and the Baltics. This has made rail transportation possible between Finland and Russia. There is also a passenger train that connects Helsinki and St. Petersburg.

There is this VR app and website that not only allow you to book the tickets but it also tell you the platform number. You can check that out. And train schedule board at every station also shows the platform number of this train. Also the fellow passengers nearby will also help.

Thank you for posting this video. I am not used to trains. So I've this curious question. Where do we keep our luggage? I am carrying 2 big trolley bags while travelling from Helsinki Airport to Tampere..
@worldtravelfin2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! For the small commuter trains, there is no specific location to put your luggage, you just keep it with you at all times. If you are traveling on an InterCity or Pendolino train to Tampere, there will be a specific section meant for luggage, located near the entrance doors. If you are booking your tickets online, you can find these luggage sections on the train map while selecting your seat. There is also an area over the seats where you can keep smaller luggage.

Such a rare review on this route, Thank you. Was there Internet on-board throughout the flight?
@worldtravelfin3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. For economy class, Finnair's flights only have internet access for a fee. It was the same for this flight, however, I have never tried it before. I'm not sure about the current prices, but a few years ago it was 7.95€ per hour, 11.95€ for 3 hours, and 19.95€ for full flight.
@bubba19843 жыл бұрын
@@worldtravelfin Thank you, sorry I didn't mean to suggest that access would be free, in fact anything "free" is bad news in principle anyway. That's awesome that Wi Fi is available, I remember the olden days when long haul was totally disjointed from the world in terms of Internet connectivity
@worldtravelfin3 жыл бұрын
@@bubba1984 That's fine, and yes, awesome indeed that there is internet available. Internet access during flights is fairly new. Finnair had WiFi on their long haul flights since 2015 with the new A350 aircraft, but has only recently included WiFi to their short haul Airbus aircraft in 2018 and 2019.
