Mature cool season grasses trample really well. I've even seen chickens do a good job trampling cool season grasses.

When did you seed your pastures?

The cover crops that you seen in the video was April 14. We had some cold weather for awhile so nothing really grew. I haven’t been up the in a few weeks but the weather has gotten gorgeous out with timely rains.

It is a learning process for sure but I really enjoy it too. Have a happy regeneration journey too!

Love your videos. Keep them coming. Looks like you are at a similar stage as me in your pasture regeneration.

I was planting into standing cereal rye and very little of hairy vetch that was going to be pasture last year but instead it got postponed a year. So I planted this cover crop last week of August and it was a mix of oats, spring and winter peas, buckwheat, crimson clover, hairy vetch. I should take a walk through it with a video now. I’m going to put fence up this year and hopefully graze it. Thanks for watching.

I really enjoy the antique tractors. My first tractor I ever drove was an H raking hay.

Love the 450. I had one I used on a Curl potato harvester. I picked up onions with it back in the 90s. Sold it to an upstart vineyard in California.
