> Unbelievable Diesel Engine Start In Freezing Cold - Prepare To Be Amazed! 26 1. There was not a diesel engine start. 2. It was not freezing cold. 3. I was not amazed.

I'm here for the startup - not the wipedown. Also, it's clearly not freezing.

What a wonderful engine, no matter the place or different language everyone can appreciate a good engine startup.

Seems your idea of freezing temps contradict those that have actually experienced freezing temps. Much less "jaw dropping". For example the green foliage that has incurred zero frost stress. Or everybody's attire. I can appreciate your culture, your engine, the operation of you engine. But let's be more on point with reality. I think a more appropriate translation is what many would call a cold start. Shareef Engine Cold Start. You clearly take much pride in that engine

As the engine brass plate says - cold start. Yes, they are very proud of it, however I wouldn't call it a 'mammoth' engine.

That’s not dangerous at all! I really hearing an old school hit and miss engine run but that’s some dangerous shit! Lost of moving parts that can easily remove limbs.

Are they just demonstrating how this ancient machinery works? Or are they actually trying to make a living doing things this way?

Полудизель, он же болиндер. Групповой механический привод, как в старинных заводских цехах, всё работает от одного мотора.

Amazing work. Skilled workers around a very dangerous powerful machine.would be scared to operate that crank, in fear of it spinning around and wacking me. Guy seemlessly pulled off the crank once it got moving. I was supprised how much water came out once you got the pump primed.

Nice, children around uncovered belts and spinning flywheels is always a good idea.
@glennjerpseth3222 ай бұрын
I grew up in a similar situation with uncovered belts, rotating wheels of various types during WWII, nearly 90 years old, still have 10 fingers, only broken bone was while playing football. At a very young age we were disciplined and trained to watch out for ourself. OSHA was not part of most machine shops prior to and during WWII; however, your comment is appropriate and well meaning.

Why not bend the exhaust pipe around and create a "heat exchanger chimney" of hot exhaust gases around the fuel oil feed pipe to take over heating the black oil after the initial fire dies down??? Extend the exhaust up above the height of that wall so the exhaust also sucks air up the "chimney" and away from the operator...... There must be a near crippling amount of carbon in the cylinder and air intake from that smokey bit of burning material on the engine's air intake... again a part of the exhaust gases could run through a heat exchanger to provide heated air for the engine...without all that carbon... (like the heat exchanger tube running under the intake manifold on an old air-cooled VW... exhaust gases keep that hot to vapourise the fuel in the air/fuel mix from the central carb all the way out to the intake ports on the heads).
