This is exactly what's wrong with hardcore fans who are so infatuated with an artist, screaming their lungs out, this film is perfect, and Val doesn't get any recognition from it as he should, it's his best work

Screaming isn’t all that bad. I’ll be honest, if that’s all fans did, it would be great. I can think of a million ways fans are more terrible than just screaming.

I know Val Kilmer was known for being a prick on film sets (He was especially shitty during the filming of Dr. Moreau), but my god was he a talented actor (his performance as Doc Holiday is legendary).

Can you imagine what this guy would have been able to do if that nurse would not have screwed up the O2 percentage in his incubator(leaving him blind, as a consequence). This is pure musical genius !
@FixxxerKH2028 жыл бұрын
+Andrew Balan I think being blind is the key to his music. Who needs eyes when your ears adapt and allow you to produce what he did.
@andrewbalan81448 жыл бұрын
There is in fact a documented correlation between music abilities and blindness (as in one sense developing more to compensate for the one that's lost). Still, there are also plenty of blind people that would gladly give away their 'gift' in exchange for some 10/200 vision, which even if it's dismal, it would still allow them to perceive something else than total darkness. I still remember that urban legend that said Ray Charles was ready to offer 2 million dollars for a functional eye...but in the '80s the technology was clearly not there yet. In Stevie Wonder's case, if we look at his musical approach, we can decipher clearly a tendency for 'creating colors with sounds'...which can be also be interpreted as his way to break that darkness monotony...I personally find that fantastic. Who knows, if he would have had eyes, his musical genius would have expressed differently.

Andrew Balan Well, the both of them had a part in changing the face of music and will have a legacy that long outlives their lives. Hopefully they can leave this world happy enough with that, although it would be nice if someone found a way for them to at least experience sight once before they die.

if he wouldve been able to see from birth, he might not even of ever played music.
