Interesting. I'm not sure I quite understand everything you pointed out, so I'll have to watch it again, but I know I like how it sounded when you played. I've got a 4 string banjo, but it's tuned to Chicago tuning.

This is lit Banjo Bill. I’ve been listening to this since my friend and I came across it 14 years ago. Thank you for making a timeless classic. You’re a legend brother.

In the early '80s i stopped at an open pit bbq restaurant in western Tennessee. You could see the smoke from the highway. Tables were on cinder blocks as was the seats with wood planks. Food was served family style. Ate until I was over filled and still took some with the family.

I just randomly thought of this song while procrastinating going to bed. I lived in BG for four years in my 20s. Happiest town on earth, amazing friends. It was indeed hard breaking up with Bowling Green to move to Lexington and get married, but I try to get back down and visit when I can.

2:55 Big advantage of the Banjitar is that the Tuning (same as the Guitar) is Fully Chromatic, unlike the 5 String Banjo you can play in any key w/o re-tuning & you can even use your Guitar capo too (You can even tune the Instrument down a Half Step, a Whole Step or even lower which may require thicker strings Optimized for that if you're having problems with singing the higher notes). A Nashville Tuned 6 String Banjo with the High G sounds very Tenor Banjoey because the High G String is a whole step below the High A of a Tenor Banjo (the Octave4+ .006 B4 is a Step above the Tenor Banjo A String, & their .005 C5 String is a Minor third above that) listen to this:kzbin.info/www/bejne/jInKcqaql6-Yi6c. For Nashville Tuning on the Banjitar you can use all the Octave Strings from a set of D'addario Extra Light Gauge Acoustic Strings (Optional: use an Octave4Plus .006 High B String so you can soar even higher in the Tenor Banjo register), since the High G is an 8, & the tension is fairly low on whatever scale length the Banjitar is, no biggie here.
@RockStarOscarStern6344 жыл бұрын
If you use the High G on a Nashville Tuned Banjitar (and the Octave4Plus .006 High B) you can make the Banjitar sound like a Tenor Banjo (High G is a step below the High A of the Tenor Banjo, & the High B is a step above the High A) with fast strumming.

@UCefBtDrlecyrPU7XGz3WkzA I think in your opinion the Regular Gauged Strings sound a bit too toy-ish, they sound better on a large bodied banjitar.
