"Be strong and courageous" Joshua 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go" Deuteronomy 31:6 2 Corinthians 12:9-“My grace is all you need, for my power is the greatest when you are weak.” Psalm 73:26-“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." Nehemiah 8:10-“Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you" Exodus 15:2 - “The Lord is my strength and my defence; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father's God, and I will exalt him. These verses can provide encouragement when someone is feeling frightened or distressed about the future. They can also help someone know that God will always be with them and that they can have peace and move forward with strength and courage. Pray for your families and friends GOD BLESS YOU

Having a diagnosis, mental health treatment, and certain meds on a patient’s record has caused my patient care to be biased by multiple providers. This bias was encountered by many departments and supervisors. My legitimate concerns and complaints were excused and my diagnosis was used as a way to gaslight me. Blaming me for ChristianaCare’s employees missteps & causing a lack of true accountability all the way up to the President. Given my experience, I can see why - even with this Mental Health Center for Employees - employees will continue to be reluctant to come forward. Perhaps, ChristinaCare at its highest level should be an example of active, compassionate listening; responding fully by answering all questions and concerns; and taking full accountability for all mistakes, errors, biases. etc. At the highest level and trickling down, caring (and timely) responsiveness is needed. A “culture change” is much-needed at ChristianaCare from what I’ve witnessed. Rather than covering up a multitude of problems and errors for employees, admit wrongdoing & not with hollow, meaningless apologies (i.e. apologizing & not making changes to better help). The problems and errors are not small. They have greatly affected my mental health & fall outside HIPPA. ChristianaCare is well-aware. This center sounds great; however, I cannot help but worry for those employees who bravely come forward for help. As simply a long-term patient, I have felt the repercussions in 2023 & 2024 from an unearthed 2014 Mental Health hospitalization at ChristianaCare. This 2014 record shockingly appeared in my Patient Portal on 9/13/2023. I was re-traumatized by the memories of all the years that led up to that breakdown as well as the fact that someone found it necessary to add it to the Portal NINE years later! Further traumatization occurred as I sought answers. I was moved from person-to-person in Privacy. My calls to Supervisors in Privacy last November went unreturned. There was no way to voice my concerns and receive the immediate help I needed. There’s so much more I could say; however, I’ll fast forward to this - I was silenced. I have a letter from Compliance dates 8/1/2024 advising me that I cannot use the following words “amendment,” “appeal,” “statement of disagreement.” Gaslighting me as being the problem for continuously asking for the things I had a right to receive. The last phone call with Privacy/Compliance was January 2024. I sent an email with an attachment of a proposed “Statement of Disagreement.” I was promised contact by a Privacy Officer in February. I waited….I called weeks later….waited…called….again, and again. I did grow frustrated. In turn, I was given a directive to NOT use those words or else I’ll receive NO contact. I was already receiving NO contact. Why? I made a complaint about one of the officers who violated my Privacy. I had a lot of legitimate questions they didn’t want to answer. It was very easy to mark me as a problem given my resurrected OLD Mental Health record and diagnosis than to take full accountability. My Sent Messages were removed from my Patient Portal. I rec’d a letter on 11/12/24 sent Priority Mail - $32 to send it to me. Full of excuses as to why this happened & stating those messages should be in Clinical Notes. They are not there. And, I am the only person Call Takers know of who has ever had this happen. Hmmm… There has been retaliatory treatment toward me for simply asking questions; demanding transparency; reporting a violation; and asserting my rights. Katie, in your Podcast, makes this sound compassionate and risk-free. A DECADE later, as a patient, I have experienced repercussions of a MH hospitalization and diagnosis. If I were an employee, I would guard my Mental Health & seek assistance elsewhere.

From what I can understand, last year's RSV vaccine was a traditional type vaccine, while this year's (late 2024) (both Pfizer and Moderna) is an MRNA vaccine. Is that correct? If so, it seems experiences from last year's RSV vaccine would not apply to this year's vaccine?

Had the injection Friday 4 Oct ,24 felt unwell next few days, hospitalised 12 oct with severe throat and chest infection. Heavy dosage of antibiotics to bring fever down and released 5 days later. RSV did not do it for me at age 78!

FUTURE OF HEALTH CARE: Dismal with current Leadership. Covering up blunders that affect patients even when patients make her aware. Accountability would make workforce better; improve employee and patient confidence; and inspire the community at-large to think more positively regarding the monopoly ChristianaCare has crafted. Let’s remember she settled a $47.1 million Whistleblower lawsuit in 2023. She fired her Chief Compliance Officer for bringing an issue to her attention. Hmmm… interesting she was awarded a Leadership Award the same year. Perhaps her speeches ring as believable; however, actions speak louder than words. And, there must be some money coming in as Dr. Nevin & her upper Leadership continue to earn millions in bonuses each year. This is public information, available by a google search. Most could survive “within means” if their bonuses alone were over $2 million. “In the people business” - let’s remember even a single patient then when that patient has been railroaded by Care Provider, Privacy, and Compliance. “Zero Harm” - make no mistake, this is not carried out in practice even amongst her Leadership to each and every patient. I requested a “conversation” with her to discuss multiple issues that occurred that were contradictory; affected my health privacy; and caused decline in my mental well-being. She relied on what her staff told her. Who knows if they told her the truth? I realize she’s busy; however, she is the direct supervisor of the team I had difficulty with. Given that, being open to what I have to say and being accountable would have gone a long way.
