Just wanted to say that opie has two main points that really make no sense to me at all. 1. He seems to think that anyone who has a show together need to be best friends or have a hanging out relationship or else it’s falling apart which is just weird to me it’s like a childish type thought process where it’s like when you were a kid and wanted the actors on shows to be friends lmao 2. He also would say that he saw the writing was on the wall and that he didn’t feel left out but then he would also say that it wasn’t his show anymore. I honestly believe that the whole thing that he was getting annoyed by was that he wasn’t the controlling factor on the show. He didn’t like that the later iteration of the show what was working was when Jim and ant were riffing on topics with the comics they would have on. I heard him a few times passive aggressively mention that Patrice wouldn’t shut up and how he would cut off topics with callers ruining the flow. He wanted to control it and didn’t want the controlling factor to just be the amazing conversations that were going on. He wanted to just set up topics have a few riffs then he decided when it’s done so he can go to the next shitty topic, when he couldn’t force it he would go to a shitty caller that nobody wanted to hear.

All Opie self grandiosity just shows me he knows he’s just a plain, mediocre technician who won the lottery. Believe, he knows. The problem is he also has extremely low IQ, so he believes it is not obvious to everyone else. He was lucky enough to surround himself with talented merciful people who took pity on him. Once they broke the show he ended up completely alone. He should be thankful for a few years he was allowed to hang around such interesting people and won millions doing what a monkey could do.

God the passive aggressiveness in this conversation off the charts. With these two there is zero comedic release of tension. Niether of them respect eachother AT ALL, they just endure eachother for money until the enevitable collapse.
