Part of the problem is the lack of priests available. Our parish has several thousand parishioners. Our pastor is dynamic, kind and very loving to all. In return he is greatly loved. He holds confession each Saturday, for 45 minutes, but is always there much longer. We were just gifted with a second priest, which will be enormously helpful to our pastor especially as our church undergoes a brick and mortar huge construction expansion. We could easily occupy a third priest full time.

1 John 1:7 we do not need cleansing because we have already been cleansed the idea the purgatory is not mentioned because the verses you quoted don’t even remotely mention purgatory what the scripture means by refining in the traits that refine our faith that happen while on earth not in some weird state

Actually it is not Catholic at all. It is not even christian. Vatican 2 says you worship allah., the greatest deceiver. Who is the deceiver in the bible?

Praise be to our lord Jesus Christ my heart ached heavenly for Africa because they had been left behind for so long and one thing live has taught me where there is much suffering there is never greater need for the gospel of Jesus Christ and what I’ve recently been learning about the catholic faith I’m encouraged I desire to finally get officially baptized by one with thr Lords authority to be official. I have wandered for years from church to church and I didn’t expect church to have flaws as we all are works in progress on our own unique journeys desiring to share The love and tender mercy of the Lords grace with others who are willing to hear the voice of the Lord and repent and become partakers in his Devine liberty and his strength. I struggle as to why my sister when I asked her well what do Catholics believe I assumed they were like Christians because I’m the child that wasn’t taught anything about religion and I’m sure my father would have never purposely intended to cause me spiritual harm because my dad walked the walk he didn’t talk the talk. He is my only source of genuine love and unconditional love that never gave up on me he is forever return back to when lost on my path seeking to find my place where I belong because I never fit in anywhere where it’s mutual giving and receiving not even the many Christian’s churches I found sound teaching at some but it was very difficult because mostly people would attended walk in sit down and rush out it’s not as organized and often it’s not a sense of fellowship of building relationships outside the building wall so became very

And discerning the body of Christ means coming to the conclusion that he was speaking literally about eating his flesh and drinking his blood. Jesus was not a bad communicator or allowed people to leave misunderstanding what he said. He was clear about communion

Problem is we protestants don't believe the catholic church is right theologically. So the Catholics don't have what Peterson says they have they make it up .just like when they pray to Mary and the saints and purgatory . They make it up

Those who did things like that if not punished now will have their just reward. There are wolves in sheep's clothing the church had many ways to report and fix these issues now. As bad as it was, this isn't a uniquely catholic problem it happens in schools and protestantism.

@@linsodtf2645 no no not going for “they will be punished in the afterlife” that is a cop out. Here and now is when they should be punished and not by the church by regular authorities. Your wolves are the hierarchy of your clan. They not only knew it was happening but help the offenders by moving them around to commit the same crimes elsewhere. So you have priests giving communion who are bigger sinners than the ones unjustly taking communion. Yes it is not uniquely a catholic issue but saying “they are doing it too” is not a very good excuse.

Taken Standing : You should bow before approaching. Then either cup your hand and place the other hand under it in support or open your mouth and protrude your tongue. The Priest will place the Host accordingly and you must consume it immediately. Generally, you should say "Amen" If Kneeling : The mouth should be open and the tongue protruded out, once the host is placed on the tongue you must consume it immediately. In many places you need to get moving quickly as this method is slow and you must not slow the Mass. Many of us make the sign of the cross but that is not required, and if done must not slow the Mass.
