Like the "added" lyric at the end of Ain't No Way. Wonder if David came up with it himself, or it was in Frizz's original version and was just not included in David & Rayo X's recording of the tune. ?

David is of course talking about Warren Zevon. Larry Pogreba is a guitar builder specializing in electrified resonator guitars, he has built instruments for Sonny Landreth, Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt and Bruce Cockburn. The song played is Zevon's "Mutineer".

There's just one thing I don't like about David Lindley: that he's no longer alive to play for us. 😭

Open A tuning. He can never hit the E - the five chord.. He was great, but this is imperfect. EL Rayo X dealt with the missing chords.

"Aint No Way, Baby" was written by Bob "Frizz" Fuller. "Sittin' at the laundromat, tryin' to keep clean / twenty-five women, they arrive on the scene/ Ain't No Way Baby/ ain't no way you'll get to me......down in the Southland/ down among the twisted vines/ you oughta see my baby/ shootin' up the freeway signs/ ain't no way baby, ain't no way you'll get to me.....goin' to the Welfare, and standing in line/ the woman at the window, she won't give me a dime/ Ain't No Way Baby, ain't no way you'll get to me....". R.I.P., Frizz!

That drummer is obviously very very good. But this was a little too hard to listen to. He must’ve been super amped or something. At one point I swear Eric shoots him a look like, damn dude chill for a bit! 😂😂😂 leave some space homie!

So many people on here acting like EJ can’t hang or that this is him branching out of his comfort zone. What?!?!? Educate yourselves. Check out 70’s Electromagnets etc If you listen to EJ and don’t hear Jazz or John McLaughlin do yourself a favor and listen 👂.

This is one of the coolest meetings of two monster guitarists who play different styles (although not as different as one might think...listen to EJ playing in the Electromagnets...) with a killer rhythm section. Would have loved to have been there!

Lindley is a genius. Amazing player.

I could swear he must have had this natural ability/talent (instinct?) to pick up just about any type of stringed musical instrument and quickly figure it out and play something cool on it (usually rock-related) .. I've never known anyone else who could do that .. (wish I did!) 👍
