Raves are for rich kid tourist these days. I never went to a Raves but I knew about e and all that glow in the dark paint glow sticks huge dumb pants orange juice caffeine name brand and what have you. These rich kids don't need to fear shit.

As a dj the bigest differences to me is that every gener has it's own bpm speed for example trance music always runs around 127 bpm , so tekno has its own different bpm so is house ..... personally when i need to be healed from inside i go for trance music,, trance was always a different level of the entire music that only deep mind's and soul can understand it and tolerate with it

went to my first rave at edc this year and i was so overwhelmed with all the different genres lol. i was like “i like this style! what is it?” then my friends proceeded to name off like a dozen different genres lol. this video helped sum it up pretty much. i definitely love techno, trance, dnb, and house.

house has more bots&cats kind of rhythm and is dancier. trance has a more pounding 4 to the floor (lol like boom, boom, boom, boom) drum pattern that artists build around with chords and synth leads and arpeggios. like house music you can jump up and down and move your body trance is more like bobbing your head to the beat. lol maybe im completely wrong im still trying to understand it all myself

My partner loves EDM and I've never been able to understand it or have the ear to tell the difference between them except for dubstep. I'm trying to learn more and train my ear so I can appreciate it more when I'm with him, but my ears are so very beginner. 🥲 I appreciate this video to try to help me, at least for the lists of people to listen to.
