ADINU, music composed by Aïcha Redouane and Habib Yammine : A History In 2003, Aïcha Redouane and Habib Yammine were commissioned by Fes Festival of Sacred Music to create a musical work for the inaugural concert. For this commission, Aïcha and Habib chose one of their own compositions ADINU BIDINI LHUBBI, a sufi poem by the great Shaykh Muhyyiddin Ibn Arabi. From the time of their live performance at the festival and its illicit circulation on KZbin, their original music composition has a huge success all around the world. Aïcha Redouane ARABIC SUFI POETRY, SONG and THE ART of MAQÂM Specialization in the art of Arabic sufi poetry and song, based on the mastery of Amazigh (Berber) style, jazz-blues and classical Western and Arabic singing. The internationally recognized Moroccan diva, of Amazigh origin, Aïcha Redouane, has revitalized the Arab music school of Nahda and art of maqâm, and founded the al-Adwar ensemble with the Lebanese composer Habib Yammine. With a very rare and exceptional voice, Redouane, also qânûn player, has a wide classical repertoire and has recorded numerous albums, awarded Diapason d’Or, Choc de la Musique and Classica, and compositions based on arabic Sufi poetry of the great Arab Sufi shaykh Ibn Arabi, Al-Busîrî, Rabia al-Adawiyya, Al-Hallaj, Nabolosi, Chuchturi, Sohrawardi, Omar Ibn al Farid, and so on. In 2016, she was awarded the Wissam Royal by His Majesty King Mohammed VI. Aïcha Redouane is invited to numerous concerts and festivals worldwide. Among many other places, Redouane has sung at UNESCO, the Brussels Opera, Paris, Rabat, Fes, Roma, Berlin, Baku, Davos Forum at Sharm-el-Sheikh, Ottawa, New York, Bahrein, Abu Dhabi, United Nations-Geneva. Aïcha Redouane is spiritually engaged in Sufism as disciple of Shaykh Sidi Hamza (qAs) and now with Shaykh Sidi Jamal al-Qadiri al-Boutchichi. For many years, she has dedicated her art to interculturalism and to a dialogue of spirituality for peace. Aïcha Redouane and Habib Yammine also teach the art of Maqam and Sufi chant to musicians and singers. Along with the workshops and master class, they are conducting in France and several countries, their teachings contain knowledge and wisdom from more than thirty years of experience in their art. Habib Yammine Habib Yammine est percussionniste, ethnomusicologue, compositeur et pédagogue libanais vivant à Paris. Il est auteur d’une thèse de doctorat sur la musique yéménite et d’articles de référence sur la musique arabe. En 1999, Il était le lauréat du programme Lavoisier du ministère français des Affaires étrangères. Maître du riqq, du daff et de la darbouka, Habib a une profonde connaissance des rythmes arabes et des nombreuses traditions musicales orientales et maghrébines. Cette riche diversité rythmique lui a permis d’élaborer son propre style d’improvisation donnant naissance à un nouveau langage esthétique de l’art de la percussion. Riche d’une longue expérience d’enseignement universitaire, il participe à des colloques et donne des conférences et des master classes.
