Once you get the leaks fixed and the mold cleaned up, consider renting a Concrobium fogger and running several gallons of Concrobium through it in the boat. move the fogger around to ensure you get into all the hard-to-reach places. Also, check out some of the articles from Practical Sailor about mold cleaners and prevention.

Oh man! I looked at that boat last year. Definitely a lot drier then. Good luck. I'm keeping an eye out for another CS 36.
@SaltyHoundAdventures3 ай бұрын
Small world! Interesting to hear it was dry then. Amazing what time will do. Best of luck with your search. There is another CS 36 for sale at Tracey’s Landing now.

Great to hear a deep dive into why you chose the Canadian Sailcraft. I don't know much about sail boats but you explained it in a way that was understandable and made sense! Awesome stuff!

Damn, that’s a lot of work! i bet a boat that smells like a pickle is better than one that smells like mold!
@MrGass-x7q8 ай бұрын
Looking good! I like how much importance you gave to anchoring out in shallower water environments. i’d hate to have a large draft that would keep me from going cool places. i also like that you’re already thinking about guests!

Got room for a 6’ plus salty fly fisher in that cabin?
@SaltyHoundAdventures8 ай бұрын
Yessir. Practical Sailor reports 6’4 headroom in the cabin, although you might have to crouch in some areas.

I really like that your dog became such a big factor in the decision to pull the trigger on this specific boat. Looks like things really lined up for you. Good luck and smooth sailing!

Fixing leaking portlights is fairly straightforward. The real question is are any of the through-deck bolts holding on the deck hardware leaking? That's when you get into wet/rotten deck coring which is where the pain starts.
@SaltyHoundAdventures3 ай бұрын
Only one spot so far and it isn’t bad. Going to reseat the hardware soon.
