I really loved everything in your art journal. I have a question! Your sketchbook, Dylusion journal, well, I have one for 10 years. I have never used it because I hate the paper!! 😢 DO you draw on the with paper, paint, and markers? I hate the texture!! It absorbs too much!! Do you glue on everything? And, if so, do you just avoid the texture and just glue pieces you created elsewhere onto the Dylusion book?

Thanks for commenting. The journal was filled a long time ago, but I don't remember having any problems with the paper.

Wow! Who knew that you could get those sorts of images with pencils! I've just acquired a huge set at our art groups auction. Thar sort of approach is much more my cup of tea than a figurative approach! 🤗

Dear Paevi, I absolutely love your art. And what you said in the second half of this video was exactly what has put me off the coloured pencils for a while. Your abstract and emotional approach made me return to my pens and pencils. One more thing: In this video you have shared how create a kind of smaller pieces before summoning all together. The pencils are a slow medium. Its so easy to loose truck. Thank you for sharing with us. ❤

You make the most amazing videos, Päivi. The painting with coloured pencil one above has got to be my favourite. I loved to hear this from you: "Your inner world is endless as soon as you go beyond the conventional." That also applies to any form of imaginative self-expression, or intuitive skills and mediumship.

I love what you create, it's a way of painting I am looking for. Usually I am drawing photo realism, but I find it more and more draining and since my partner died a few months ago I can't get it touch with it at all. So I switched to Neurographic drawing and Zentangle, just to calm me down. This kind of drawing/painting is something I'll try. I think what a lot of Artists lose (including me) is to draw with the imagination and freedom of a child and I am going on a journey to re-kindle that spirit.

i would suggest looking into VR PAINTING. It is essentially 3D sculpting with a paintbrush, very artist-focused, it's what i'd expect to see if an artist became a wizard. Vast, full-body gestures & swings of the arm become precise artist lines in 3d space, surrounded with chosen 3D texture & colour, to create sculptures more familiar to 2D digital artists - but in a 3D space more familiar to sculptors. I don't have any videos ready to share ATM, but i could probably find some quickly if you don't know what i mean. I'd hate for you to have passed by & somehow missed this part of modern digital art, as i'm always really impressed with the results. edit: maybe "Tilt Brush" ?
@peonyandparakeet
@peonyandparakeet 3 ай бұрын
Thanks so much for commenting. My first experiment in virtual reality was VR painting. I used the program called Tilt Brush. That was before the project that I talk in the video. Even if it's easy and fun and I could easily produce quite similar strokes to real brush strokes, something was lacking in the process. I currently prefer the cleaner shapes that I can do with Blender. Maybe I go back to VR painting someday when I have developed the current process further. VR painting and programming are not exclusive, so that's great. One thing that I have thought about is to make the user interaction so that the user could paint in the unknown land. I don't think it would be very difficult to program. But I think that the next thing is the sounds and I hope that they will reveal more about what I should do with the user interaction. All this would have been great content for a more comprehensive video, thank you for mentioning VR painting here in the comments!
