Gimmick Puppet wins yet another match. Branded wouldn't be nearly as good without it. Statistics prove this. Makes their matches predictable and boring. Konami needs to do something about this soon

Runnick kinda cheated also on turn 1 even if calamity was able to be activated, cause he still activated the Runick field spell, you can’t activate cards. You would of had to set it, but he activated it meaning he could of had follow up next turn. I have had played with friends who use calamity also, you can only set cards after the activation. He could of also technically negated calamity too by searching his negate effect quick play spell

I would have been more safe with the Trias summon and tributed both Refrains and Diviner. You get 2 draws and you have your refrains face up in the extra deck for Vortex to negate the Nibiru. You would sacrifice a Rank 4 but you are pretty much guaranteed to keep your board state. Just a way to bate out Nibiru or any other hand traps.

1st Turn, Exosister player could had done tthe 2nd Mikailis to search Returnia (2 bans) or Vadis (no special from gy + monster negate or Abyss Dweller) it was better in that situation than search for follow up. Always use 1st the tag out effect as chain link 2 or higher and then after in the same chain link activate the banish without target effect (detach for cost and doesn't target) If the guy did that Anima's effect would be without target. P.S. Never put Magnifica in the spot for Anima, even for bait, that way the opponent can bait the effects early in the game state..

I'm saying a gameplay loop where you can force a one-sided Special Summon lock onto your opponent during the Standby Phase is maybe not especially good design? I played against Labyrinth at regionals last weekend and it was a very tough match up but Branded in Red + Lost really came in clutch. The Chimera to pop 2 and draw without them being able to respond, it was wild.
