Does your left hand hold the hair parrallel to the floor when you snip? It seemed to me that your left hand held the hair parallel to the heads surface at that hair's root. Please confirm.

I don't disagree with the premise over all but I would much rather accommodate the customer who was courteous enough show up 10 minutes early by allowing them to hang out and have a coffee before the opening time on the door then accommodate some dude who runs in the door at "4:59:59" and goes "nana nana boo boo you have to cut my hair now". From a customer service standpoint it doesn't make much sense to me. You're more likely to have the scenario in the morning than the person who walks in at one minute to close. So you would positively impact more of your customers by opening your doors ten minutes early (and be ten minutes ahead to start the day). The person who runs in the door at one minute to close is both inconsiderate and rare. It's also easier to train your barbers to be ready ten minutes early than it is to say "who can say for sure when your shift ends". Again, I don't really disagree with the video but I have never got the leave the customer in the cold approach.

So I tried this out yesterday, just as a #1 guard substitute (comb guards still en route). I noticed it didn’t cut as close as a standard #1 guard, and I compared them on the same head. Albeit there were bumps in the scalp but still noticeably longer than using a #1 guard. Is there a trick or knack to getting the comb on its own to cut as a tight #1 guard?

@blunt4841Ай бұрын
@@clipperguysays I’m gunna assume you mean blending FROM a #1? Yeah I pressed the comb hard against the head and clipped. Then compared on the same head with a guard. There was around 1-2 ml difference, however I use a taper blade on my clippers, not a fade blade so that may be a contributing factor

Hey Ivan, on this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/aqnOoYOGisqpgJYsi=3rDJeB_6ih4us-tb In the later stages you talk about how different tools cut the hair differently, Do you have a video on this specific science ? I didn’t know this was a thing. I recently booked and appointment and forgot. I do understand the charge policy but I think it should be null if you don’t tell the person making the appointment of this policy before hand while making the appointment. Just don’t pull it out of nowhere. Time to move on to a new hair stylist. Specially if this is the first time that has happened.

These look great! Have you thought of releasing a mirror image version, for those that may be opposite handed, so would find it easier going from the other side of the head? As from what I can make out the bevel means you can only go in one direction around the entire head. Also for hair growth patterns where going from the other side would work better, or even for those wanting to do a home haircut on themselves and would find it easier going from front to back on both sides. I feel like producing the mirror image would be easy to do as only difference would be the bevel being on the opposite side! You would literally take the same model pre bevel and choose different side to bevel depending on the final model type, would mean with a left and right version you could double sales!
