If you want better irigation for less detrimental effects look at the nozzles. The spraying of a mist must be the most wastfull way to use water. A hose that drags its end on the ground and intermitantly pours some amount of water amounst a decent level of vegetation would be way more profitabile and use less water. Just look at the amount of water that blows away or evaperates. Wind breaks in the area would help to. I like that your video shows farmers and townies that is does not have to be about retiring productive land to native. There is so much marginal land and small unusable plots to start on and many of those are within town boundaries and near roads. Even creating small islands of native bush so that native birds can move from one area of native bush to another. I live in an area where the hillsides are covered in gorse while 15 minutes away land that was once farms, orchards and horticulture is being turned into housing. It's madness.
