I walk the same house four to five times in different ways spending at least an hour and a half. You won’t see everything with one or two sweeps walking the same directions. Walk the house one way. Then turn around and 180 your way back through. You’d be surprised how much stuff you nearly missed out on. Also highly recommend going the first and last day. First day to get the desired items you know people will walk out with. But the final day is bargain shopping. Lastly get yourselves a 395 nm black light for that sweet uranium glass ❤❤❤ such a fun hobby!

I would probably run a 18 or 16gauge wire through the tube and then wrap the ends around the extension that holds the regular watch bands on. Or you may be able to take the band to a silver smith or jeweler and possibly have the tube adapted to wrap around the extension and click closed. Or... they may be able to saw the tube off and create a whole new sort of piece to attach to the extension. Hope this helps! Good hunting!!
