alcohol destroys in so many ways. Why encourage it? Leave the gathering places family friendly!

Carmel Indiana behaves as it is trying to control all movement with the goal being a feeble walk. It has the worst through traffic having many roundabouts and traffic circles as traffic calming devices to discourage through traffic. It even goes after the Monon bike path to discourage normal bicycle use and destroyed its Rail-Trail alignment.

I was offered a position that required me to move to the Midwest 2 months ago and I went down the Google and KZbin rabbit hole. Everything pointed to Carmel being the place to live! First thing I learned was not to pronounce it like the California imposter. The volume of art that is in the city is just one of many reasons that drew me here

They don’t mention the fact Carmel PD was sued for pulling people over for driving while black. By court order, they have to publish a list of all traffic stops including the race of the driver. Although only 3% of Carmel residents are non-white, over 40% of drivers stopped are non-white.

Thank you for these broadcasts. I agree with the councilman near the end that emphasized community communication. Limiting taxpayers who sat through almost two hours of long-winded and often redundant conversation and then asking the public to keep it brief is not only disrespectful, its missing open ideas that the board cannot possibly think of on their own. Thank you.

What Carmel needs is transit that connects to Indianapolis, high density housing, and less suburbs after looking at the area I see strips of land where a streetcar could be built this city has a lot of potential and it must not be wasted on suburbs and parking lots

This kind of city is a horror for a European and especially a French person. But compared to most other US cities, it's a little paradise. Humans have more of a place there than the enormous cars that characterize you. I have children cycling and, even more surprisingly, people walking! No wonder many people in the US come to settle in Carmel. Opinion of a barely chauvinistic Frenchman who lives in Provence, the most beautiful region of France.

Most people "settle" in burbs like Carmel is because they are running away from blacks and browns.

I live in Carmel. I like roundabouts, but Mayor Brainard has gone crazy. They are EVERYWHERE. They appear in remote areas where I almost never see any traffic, fixing "problems" that didn't exist. Roads are shut down for months causing major headaches. And the city is $1.5 billion in debt (yes, billion with a 'b'). Kickbacks?

Not permitting buildings to be built in back yards without neighbors input and HOA acknowledgement would serve well.

This vid makes Carmel seem very pleasant. A great place to raise a family. It shows A LOT of lightly complected people, which makes one feel very safe. No visions of loud, trashy, unruly neighbors. Now let's see the REAL Carmel.

Carmel sucks. Indiana sucks. And the USA in general sucks. What's not to love? If you want a sucky life, live in the USA, live in Indiana, and live in Carmel..... and you will have achieved your objective.
