I think souping is what I have the hardest time with in trying to create a cohesive unit that narratively makes sense. I'm primarily drawn to Order so its just really hard for me to see why you'd have a Duardin allied into a bunch of Sylvaneth, etc. etc.

Low bar to entry, high skill cap is spot on for these guys! I feel like they’re the epitome of “it’s been a tough day, let’s throw some smooth-brain dice but also have the chance for some mischief.” The lore also makes the clubs next level, because all these gorgers want to do is throw hands at something but even through that haze some of them just love stick with rock! Or *big* stick with rock! And I just think that’s beautiful.

Great video, as always! I like the added incentive with the new tactic to play within Wildercorps but I feel like the cost for these folks makes them excellent soup broth. Currently thinking the hound warden, 4 puppies, an arbalester, Haskell, Pock, and a questor (grandhammer? Duelist?) or a hound warden, 3 hounds, an arbalester, Haskell, Pock, and Calthia. Either one gives you plenty of space for a strength blessing on Pock and the arbalester. Excited to see your next episode!

I have played Wildercorps Hunters around 15 times by now.. Mine are the Wildercorp WITCH Hunters using my Cursed City + Hexbane Hunters models as proxies, and my most recent list I've been playing with has 3 Arbalesters + 4 Trailblazer with Double Crossbows (Double Pistols in my case 😬). This list is incredible and purely ranged, besides the Leader. You have to deploy with care and attention so the 3 Arbalesters can get in a good position and line of sight of most enemy models, but also not very close obviously cause they can't shoot from 6" or closer. Let me tell you, this list is stupid strong. And once people engage your Leader and Trailblazers, you spam the [Double] "Hunting Pack" ability to get free attacks. Or spam [Triple] Trailblazer's Might with the (well..) Trailblazers if they're too spread out. It's good, the people I play with have been having a hard time beating them, I don't think I lost with this list yet. I had a different list at the beginning before making this one, and this one is by far the most OP, the Arbalesters are very swingy, yes, but having 3 of them kind of beat that "dice will be dice" chance, cause one of them is sure to pop someone's head off with AT LEAST 12 damage from the other side of the map. (while still eating a chicken and holding an objective) The list: ******* (970) Wildercorps Witch Hunters (8) 115 Warden Axe (L) 175 Arbalester Sniper 175 Arbalester Sniper 175 Arbalester Sniper 90 Trailblazer Gunner 90 Trailblazer Gunner 90 Trailblazer Gunner 90 Trailblazer Gunner *******

When monsters roamed the earth, we all sat around the fire, casting frightened glances into the dark and listening to Salty the Elder weave tales about how to fight them. It was then that I came up with my multi-doggo, action-stripping extravaganza Wildercorps list. Rinse (in dog slobber) and repeat (on Vexmor): Warden with Hound x5 Doggos Arbalester Calthia Annihilator Prime Who's a good boi? Da bestest boi, yes you are...

Just want to chime in on the commit plan: Vexmor using Onslaught kills a 20wound model in one activation 81% of the time. That drops to 61% for 21-25 wound models, but the 26th wound is huge. Vex only drops a 26-30w fighter 38% of the time. That's still more than a third of the time, so you gotta understand you're playing with fire, but that's the nature of the game. Also Kyle mentioned it but I love how certain dwarves line up against him. Boggleye has the super bonus from being a part of your netter discussion, and also being an honorary dwarf at 12 wounds.

I'm a broken record from discord, here to spread the word of Mollog. In all seriousness though, he's a great counter to Vexmor, he's got dice reduction, he's got the area control, ranged burn damage, & (at least IMO) as a last resort he's got the ability to swing in the same with Backstabbing Mob. Range 3' fighters or 0" minimum shooting with decent damage are also a good option to wittle him down too.

Mike here - I played Mollog at adepticon last year and he absolutely was a blast (no blessings back then either!). The permanent aoe debuff can be wild on some missions for sure and deffo gives vex a bad time - hopefully he eventually gets a points drop to me him even more playable. My toxic trait is hoping that since he got re-released in the Underworlds box that he will also get a warcry points update 🥲

@@armoire_enthusiast7 was that the Space jam team? (Xelcir from discord btw) I think Mollog is a terrible target for blessings because of his cost. Great video guys - so nice to see actual tips for dealing with Vexmor rather than fearmongering The one thing I would add after playing him for some time now. He normally comes with a squishy friend (Lascivyr or Vashtiss) and it's very tempting to squash one of those guys rather than Vexmor as the threat of dying to one of them is much lower, they have lower T and lower W. This, is largely a mistake if not timed correctly. The thricefold reaction to free move vexmor has given me the advantage SO many times when an opponent should have just walked away. It's not as exciting as killing something, but it is by and large the smarter move depending on where Vexmor is at the time. The number of times opponents avoid Vexmor only to kill Lascivyr and enable a move-in is staggering. enabling vexmor to move-in for free lets him onslaught with impunity next activation - which negates your careful avoidant movement around him in many cases. TDLR; If you are gong to kill Vexmors friends, you need to be aware of where Vexmor is relative to being able to attack on their activation.

1:10:00 love this take. Points efficiency isn't everything BUT it generally is worth looking at when you're trying to work out why a model feels so weak or so strong. Otherwise the biggest consideration with a fighter is "does this fighter fit with the thing I'm trying to do?" and hopefully the answer to that question is yes, then hopefully that model isn't overcosted (lookin' at you, Nighthaunt)
