I just played this with my honors band. I played the tympani and absolutely loved the piece. Have came back and listened to it every night since the performance. This composer creates amazing music!

I played this senior year in my honors wind ensemble, first trombone (with the HAUNTING muted solo near the beginning). I still find myself coming back to listen to this piece. Truly beautiful :)

I love the sound balance of this performance. The trumpet somehow managed to blend in the whispering strings, while the winds roar up front. This is rather small group, but I think it's very fitting for this piece.
