@culturestudiosWV From my personal experience, the majority of the church that i was raised around was never genuine. Churches like James River Church, which is in my hometown, resemble a cult like following more than a faith-based following. I've been in many services there, where the word of god was completely disregarded/misinterpreted into their own belief. They manipulate their followers into paying for "forgiveness for their sins" which if you remember, back when Martin Luther nailed his 95 Thesis to the door of the Church, which then began reformation, otherwise known as the split between catholic and protestant churches. In this 95 thesis, Luther exposed corruption within the church. One of his points that he made was one that i mentioned earlier in my comment, which was exploiting peoples faith for their money. If you don't believe me, you can fact-check any history books. I'm not saying that what you said in the video is wrong, I actually happen to agree with everything you stated. But, like I said, my personal experience of the church has been nothing but corruption and radicalized Christianity. I believe in God, and i believe that Jesus is my lord and savior, but i don't believe in corruption, lies, and taking the word of god and manipulating it for your own personal gain. I have many other examples of corruption, (Mainly Kenneth Copeland), but I think it's about time I wrap this up. And to clarify, if you think any of what i said isn't true, you can always do your research. Being in the know is extremely important, especially when it comes to religion. Have a good day man
