I run my own small business too. Outsourcing the more general stuff like on the businesses operations and basic crocheting like stems and leaves and easy flowers could help. And since your work keeps getting sold out, can consider increasing the price. do more collabs for visibility . It's a pity to let your talent and hard earned biz die off like that.

The fact that you at least did it, is admirable. Most folks don't even go as far as you have.

"If you love crochet so much why dont you just sell what you make?!" I know that question comes from a place of care, but it also comes from a place of ignorance

I started learning crochet when i was young and i am 19 now and had to stop because i developed carpal tunnel and my wrists and hands are very painful it has affected my work because my grip strength is not as strong now and it has me worried about how much its going to limit me in the future. I think you should always put your health over everything !

i work with my hands a lot, and an older lady who made chocolates and mainly caramel apples every day (really hard on your hands) told me she uses CDB goats milk lotion and it helps her palms and stuff. it helps me when i overdo my art. i know its different for everyone, but i felt it might help someone else to pass the info along, like she did for me

I just checked your website and your prices are criminally low! Also, You’re sold out of everything! It’s a very good sign that your demand is high. You could most definitely charge way more for your work!

Sounds like you need to raise your prices! If your pieces are more expensive, you can afford to make far fewer everyday.

These are really cute, i collect different styles of flowers, i have a crochet vase wirh crochet flowers in it, starched, but they are not intricate like yours, i have wooden flowers, feather flowers, those type of different ones, i may have to look into yours as they are pretty.

Okay so idk if this even counts as a suggestion and input, but have u ever try to experiment ur product by owning one and bringing it everywhere then starts to scribble some idea design in the process? This can applies in any of ur product, idk why but when i saw those product i can't help but think of dressing them up in silly attire or accessories, maybe u'd make some that can be put off and on? And maybe make a lil card that tells the person who boight it how to make the accesories as a bonus for those who might be interested in how to crochet? (in case my idea didnt sparks or help anything am genuinely sorry)

Yeah, you can make a book with patterns, and sell it in digital format. I follow on Facebook a group for Children's books and someone was saying that she sells her book online and also allows advertisement on her page, so she makes money while sleeping.

I wanted to start a crochet business a few years ago, but doing the math I saw I'd be exhausted before I even began seeing profit, if I ever saw profit. I'm just not fast enough and keeping up that level of work would kill me.

Talk to other crochete-ers about what kind of wrist brace they recommend. If you start using them early you can prevent, or at least reduce, repetitive stress injuries. ❤

Making your hobby a job isn't as easy or fun as it seems in the long run. I draw portraits from pictures as a hobby and thought it would be nice to sell some just to friends or friends of friends.. but it gained traction so much that it became a job aside my actual job. I burned out within a year. Couldn't even draw for myself anymore, no drive whatsoever. The joy and inspiration was gone. So i quit that second job. Took me a year to get back into drawing for my own enjoyment. Of course it's awesome when many people like and want your work but it can get overwhelming really fast. Please look after yourself. Your health is more important.

The sadest thing is most of people prefer cheap articles made in fabrics from poor materials. They don't value enough hand made articles, all love and work put in them+each article is UNIQUE. Also they expect hand made stuff must be perfect, but when they buy something from big business in shops they don't care if the material is poorly, sewed poorly and almost everyone had same items (like same shoes, shirts and so on..)
