I believe this happens as a result of how LBP scales objects. Due to it's 2.5D nature, large objects aren't scaled exactly the same across all dimensions, leading to objects becoming stretched. How this affects decorations, I have no idea.

Don't quote me, but I think the immunity in the mainline game happens because the material system controls the physics of said object (brush, model, sackperson), the spike material just has special code to kill you, but can be circumvented if the Sackperson has a spike material as their skin (and the same with every other hazard). If you actually mod the game for Sackboy to use the bomb's material, you explode if you fall from a 2 checkpoint tall height lol. Seems like LBP PSP was coded the same too with the hazardous material doing the exact same thing as it does objects to Sackboy, but compared to the others, it's probably just the only special case and the rest of the hazards were coded differently (to not follow the same material system as the mainline). Also LBP Vita has slight support for reading LBP .bin levels files, it's safe to assume it works on Vita because it's a heavy heavy rewrite of the mainlines, so... same bugs carry over

One thing I didn’t mention in the video: While in this unused Create Mode, most of the time if you place down a sticker/decoration or a piece of logic on an object: On your screen the decoration/sticker/logic will be in one area of said object where you placed it, while on your friend’s screen it will be on a slightly different area of the object, and vise-versa. (This doesn’t happen in normal multiplayer - everything shows up the same on both screens)

I had something like this happen to me years ago back in LBP2. I joined a friend like usual but he set up a trap at the spawn point that made me immune to the hazard effect of electricity, but it also made me the hazard itself for everyone else. It was pretty much stuck to me for half a year and I didn't know how to fix it. Until finally after begging and begging my friend had had enough of my complaints and decided to help me take it away. Kind of a jerk if he set the hazard on me and didn't help me take it off, but we were just kids. I don't know what he did but it involved the same mechanic at the spawn point and probably took him about 10 minutes to set it up. Before I spawned back in he would tell me when it was safe to come into his world, and when I did the effect was gone. It's still in my memory to this day only because of how humongous the problem was. I couldn't play with anyone in the game because of it and it made me feel lonely if I played the game by myself forever
