Hey honest question here. No judgement. Just curious why traditional grip?

I’ve played traditional since I started when I was 10, always felt right to me I guess!

Have you switched pedals from speed Cobra to trick PRO?
Having that snare sound with the traditional grip is priceless, great playing.

I always find heel toe sounds sloppy ,like a gallop insted of solid single notes you might get from swivel

Buddy Rich would have approved Mr Pierce's Traditional grip..........You either swing a band or don't swing a band and that's what's lacking today.. There aren't any guys who get back there and play with any kind of guts. Buddy Rich

Wow, metal drumming with traditional grip. I rarely see that. I can't do any songs with that grip.

I'm a simple man.. I open a video and see the drummer holding the stick wrong for a metal song. I put a comment and close the video.
@subyeknom85005 ай бұрын
You can’t really hold a stick wrong for any genre,you could be a jazz drummer using matched grip
@sovereignkroova3 ай бұрын
@@subyeknom8500 I agree with you fully ... can we get rid of this stigma of "oh sticks need to be held in a certain way!" cause it doesnt fucking matter how the sticks are held if the drummer can play the song or drum in general

Nice work man. I assume you've landed a gig with the band? Can we expect to see a cover of 94 Hours? Easily my favorite AILD song.
