Ya some of us had rough lives growing up even now we are going through rough patches ...such music heals and bring past past memories tears just flow. ..this kind of music is not for kids nor the fainthearted. ..Thank You Miss Parton Thank you...I will thank Don Williams, Emmylou Harris and Kenny Rodgers on their own channels

I'm 77+ years old and living just below the poverty line. My soul, my spirit, has been mired in depression for so long all I believed life held for me was continuing darkness. Then Dolly's song came along this morning (via artist Gary Myers' blog, "Redtree Times"). I can feel a gracious change stirring in my heart, my brain. Maybe things will be better, after all. I feel hopeful, grateful for that clear blue morning Dolly sings about.

I can remember back in the day, when Dolly came on the radio, everyone had to be quiet so grandma could listen to Dolly.

Growing up my mom and gran played this record a lot. I didn't understand but as I became an adult I found myself playing this as much as they did .

Just to correct an earlier comment, this song was written by James B. Coats in the early 20th century. So beautifully done here.

Does anyone know a very early Girl Group track where Dolly sang lead (which Tom Hanks played recently on BOSS Radio 66)? Longish title. Thanx in advance.
