Have you found a way for individuals to purchase BOLI contracts? I thought there were special IRS rules that only allow banks to purchase that product to fund employee benefits with untaxed dollars. It may be that the general public is not thrilled about whole life insurance because over 50% of policy holders end up surrendering their policies and the amount of their financial loss leaves a fairly bad taste in their mouth.

Correct me if I am wrong but I believe something is missing here. If you pay yourself back + interest you will always have more than the person who paid cash and just forgot about it. If we took your example of the 30k car loan at 8% we would have to pay $608 every month back to ourselves. Over 5 years that would be $36,480. Therefore we would end up with $6,480 more for each car purchase than those who paid cash.

It is amazing what we can pick up on if we read something again or learn something we already know about! I always learn something new when reading Nelson's books.

It's been good, as a 60 year old, to be able to take advantage of the infinite banking principles.
