I did that once and really regretted it. When it came time to download my photos after two weeks, I had to go to 14 folders to get my pictures.

i do not understand this naming convention!! i WANT 20241117 for year 2024, month november, day 17... i'm getting 10041117, then 10141118, 10241120 etc... the last 4 digits are month/day, the first 4 make no sense! can it be changed to be 2024? i SET the camera to display folders in date format, what do these first four numbers identify? (i JUST got A7iv, loving it but for this stupid folder thing)

I have a godox 860iii and somehow in the screen of the flash it shows “Sony” any thoughts?

Great video. I have recently purchased the RX10 I sold my DSLR and various Lenses. It certainly is a versatile camera and offers great value for money. It seems to be Sony’s best kept Product.

thanks for this video. I do lots of sports for my full time job at a newspaper. Do you find the high ISO to be better than the a9ii? I have the a9ii and I'm at 10,000 iso shooting football all the time now in the fall. I'm considering getting the a7siii for use for mostly stills and some news video work.

Opals.... ive got a decent setup Sony A73 with the 70-200 and 24 gmaster lenses couple of vintage ones i like too. interesting if i can use my Astro lens but just was wondering if you noticed much warping of images if they are not framed right. Used to happen sometimes when i used the 24 for portraits a few times

Seems like this works for most Sony Full Frame Cameras from the a7iii/a9i forward. Maybe not for the a7ii. It seems like it is not available on any Sony APS-C cameras, even newer ones like the ZV-e10.

But how to set or change the date format in thar folder name?

I am sincerely hoping that Sony revives the RX10 in the near future along with the RX100 and possibly the RX1, it is by FAR the best travel and prosumer / enthusiast camera system out there.

I have the RX10 III which has the same sensor and lens, and I am blown away by the quality of the sensor and the lens. You have to learn how to get the best results, but once you have done so, this camera will deliver great results. I guess with some better post processing, the images from the RX10 IV could have looked even better (this video is already a few years old).

I have two A6600 and one A6400 and no mater how much I tried, they will not change the file names from C00XXXX

It’s always nice to see this kind of comparsions. For my private stuff I went with the RX100VII as it is even smaller, but I thought very often about the RX10IV lately. The thing is, that it feels like being from a different era. I think Sony should have gone for another body design, as this never matched any other Sony line. It’s just no fun to hold it. One could say it’s sexy as a fridge. But what you can ger out of it, is simply amazing and thats still the case after so many years now. AF system have gotten way better, but the image quality is still like in 2017. It would be so nice to see another version of the RX10IV. Think about, that these 2017 generation models are the last ones of their kind we will see. This would be very sad. Panasonic was even as honest to say, that there will be no further development for this section. So lets hope for a maybe new and last generation for the RX10/100.

I have heard only good things about the RX10 and have finally made the purchase at a sale price of £1199. For the photography I do I couldnt justify (or afford) £16000 . Hopefully money well spent!

I realize I'm commenting on a 2 year old video, but you can zoom in using clear image zoom (2x photo, 1.5 video) with no image resolution loss like aps-c mode.

This really needed to be a 4K video. Even if you were still cutting in 1080p 3 years ago, you needed to upscale this to 4K before uploading to KZbin. Because this website absolutely murderes photo quality when it transcodes 1080p video. It's impossible to compare any of the photos like this.

What do you think about getting this camera today? It's pretty old by now, but coming from the a6000 I find it just impossible to carry around my lenses and everything while being a parent to a 4 month old baby.
