Now it’s time for EPICA who are the other top flight Symphonic Metal band but one who actually play with an orchestra on occasion. Check out ‘Unleashed’ from the retrospect concert or the very recent ‘Arcana’ from the symphonic synergy concert. Both have full orchestras and choirs in support of the band. Epic does not do it justice.

Marko Hietala is much more than a backup-singer; in Finland he is a metal legend since the 80s. He had been the leadsinger of his band Tarot. Since 2001 he is the bassist and second singer of Nightwish. Nightwish songs where he sings lead: "High Hopes" (tribute to Pink Floyd, End of an era concert 2005), "While your lips are still red" (Wembley 2015) and "The Islander" (Tampere 2015).

This man, imo, is the most emotionally expressive singer out there! Vessel is super creative and going thru the discography is super cool cuz he has all these easter eggs throughout his music, and by the time you get to EUCLID on this album (TMBTE) you'll be full on impressed and possibly even emotionally stimulated because it just wraps up the whole story that the albums have been taking us on. They're concept albums and make the most impact when listened to in chronological order starting with their EPs One & Two, singles Jaws and The Way That You Were, then albums Sundowning, This Place Will Become Your Tomb, and Take Me Back To Eden. Would love to see you start at the beginning. Read about the lore in Google. Vessel has created something that is downright almost spiritual. That's why we worship his genius and music. Anyway, no matter what song you pick to listen to next, you cant go wrong. They don't have a bad song out there. Subbed for more Sleep Token! When Nightwish started they were all living in Finland so they started with a local operatic singer Tarja Turunen. Floor was still at school in The Netherlands ! At 16 she joined her first band After Forever initially as a backing singer but rapidly became the lead singer. Until they broke up in 2009 when Nightwish already had their second singer Anette Olzon. Floor formed her own band ReVamp until a breakdown in 2011. While recovering she was called in late 2012 initially to be a stand in vocalist for Nightwish to complete their tour and learned the whole set list in 48 hours travelling from The Netherlands to the USA and the rest is history.

I would LOVE to see The Warning call them up to be openers for a few shows this year - maybe at least in a local-ish region so these kids can travel but not yet kill themselves over a long tour. They've covered The Warning, so I'm sure the girls are tracking this band. It would be a fun concert.
