Ivan Toney has to put the trust in himself look what Mike Ashley did to him at Newcastle. He had good loan spells but still never played a game for them
@OrderedConch4 ай бұрын
Straight up money grabber. There's a reason no big clubs wanted to pay the money or was interested in signing him. Don't come at me with the tired "taking care of his family" bullsh!t either. Pleading poverty for millionaires is something I'm never gonna subscribe to. Now he doesn't play for england either. That sand castle joke league is way below the standard. 0 respect for that move. He's basically retired in my eyes 😂

His 28? Then I guess he did the right thing. I didn’t see him winning tittles in England and makin that type of money tbh. Time flies man, if ur 28 and playin for a small team, then be a business and get the big money. Ur time is almost up

Ivan toney is making up for the time he didnt earn the right money for his talents. All that time in the lower leagues. The guy would be dumb if he didnt do what he did.
@NakulKrishna4 ай бұрын
lol when did all this talk of him being world class and being able to go to any team start? He’s the most mid attacker ever, in a team that heroed and played around and for him and actually had a better player in Mbuemo who imo made Toney seem better than he actually is, his numbers were still only slightly better than average. There’s a reason not a single half decent club(let alone the world class clubs) didn’t come in for him. Toney is exactly where he belongs, and is making great money for the calibre of player that he is, he knew that and all the clubs that could’ve bid for him know that. It’s great for him he’s sorted himself out with multi generational wealth but let’s not paint this as anything other than, selling out because he had no other choice. And that’s besides all the nonsense he’s spouted about Brentford and the gambling and everything. This guy has no great moral compass and is not doing this for the good of his kids(a gambling man never has his kids well-being at heart), you don’t teach your kids that money is everything and Saudi isnt exactly the type of place to have your kids grow up in anyway. This is a unambitious move that very clearly emphasises his love for money over football. Toney probably is the most overrated player iv ever seen in the prem, and if you believe in yourself you don’t go to Saudi in your prime, simple as.

We can’t forget about the possibility of a career ending injury at any time, sure he’s going to be well of no matter what club he plays for, but every extra million he earns, is helping many more people, he cares about others more than his football career which is valid. And even if it is just for the money for himself, maybe for him he can enjoy what the money can bring him as far as experiences and all sorts of things compared to trophies
@xcf55874 ай бұрын
I think the bit everyone is missing is that no big prem (or other top 5 league) team wanted him really. Reckon he would have gone off to Chelsea or somewhere but he had no other option. Choice was to stay at Brentford or go to another decent prem team (sure West Ham would have been interested at the right price for example) or Saudi, which makes Saudi seem a bit more appealing.
@pejpm4 ай бұрын
As much as I despise the Saudi league and the sportswashing of western players going there, you can’t blame Toney for doing this. He is only relatively recently established in the Premier league, he has not had for years and years of making millions like lots of other top-flight players, this is a chance to secure absolute generational wealth.
@comic_food_guy4 ай бұрын
He is nearly thirty and the suspension ruined his value in Europe. Folks need to stop this anti Saudi hate.
@pejpm4 ай бұрын
Perhaps the heat comes from the fact that Saudi is a dictatorial petro state with a terrible human rights record, which just a few years ago had a journalist murdered, and are now using our sport to try and clean up their image. Maybe that’s the reason for the “hate”.
@slashssnakepit44444 ай бұрын
